"Kaguya was the PERFECT hotel!! 10/10 would stay here again."

Gallery Hotel Kaguya was BY FAR the best hotel we stayed at during our time in Japan! Our spacious accommodation included the entire 4th floor, with two large and extremely comfy beds, matched with a small living space including a sofa, fridge, tv, and a half bath. The best feature is definitely the private 5th floor full bath with access to a BEAUTIFUL balcony, spacious and romantic hot tub, waterfall shower, and extra half bath. Whether you have an adventurous or relaxing day, your body will thank you for that hot tub. The hotel is conveniently located only 10 mins walk to train stations and bus stops, making it so easy to explore! There are also so many restaurants and coffee shops near the hotel, that you can easily spend a day enjoying Kyoto as a local. Also, a huge thanks to the concierge Yuto, a Kyoto native and former Californian, who was the most helpful guide during our short stay in Kyoto. His stellar service was another amazing perk to an already awesome experience.

Our only regret was not staying longer! Seriously – the hardest part of our stay at gallery hotel Kaguya was leaving the hotel. We skipped out on an entire day of exploring just to relax in the room and hot tub.

Small rooms and there was no cleaning during our stay. That's because it's an apartment.

Everything was wonderful in this hotel - a lovely friendly lady at the front desk helped us with our luggage before we checked in and explained everything we needed to know despite her not knowing English well, she was amazing! The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and resulted in the best night's sleep we had the whole trip! The toilet flushes by itself! The amenities were amazing and detailed, very nice touches. Finally, the big bath was heaven! It was so relaxing and lovely to soak in, definitely recommend.

The bath did not fill up to the top unfortunately, but it was still lovely.

The room was very clean and comfortable and the host was helpful and accommodating.

They weren’t able to provide larger slippers but it did not detract from our stay.
