the location was in town and good

I found that the apartment seemed to be in use by another party . There were vegetables (half eaten ) in the Fridge and so I could not stay so I asked the owner ( in good faith ) that I should pay for one night but I will not stay (just to be polite) and that is what happened. I paid for one night despite the fact that I could not stay for the night. What was bad was that the apartment was not clean and the room seemed as if it had a client especially the refrigerator and the bathroom was not well maintained . Generally, the Photos on the website are a contrast with what is obtaining on the ground.

I booked this place because I had a flight to catch at 3 am, had an evening meeting so I needed a desk, and thought it was in a good location in the city. There were some nice restaurants nearby and also a couple malls within walking distance which made it easy to get essentials. There was a gate and security to get into the compound where the apartment was located. Security was nice but they don’t sit right next to the gate, so I had to call them for a while at night to come open the gate, which felt a little unsafe as a solo female traveler.

There were inappropriate posters on the wall that portrayed women inappropriately and in chains. This alone made me feel unsafe as a solo female traveler. How irresponsible to have posters like this in a room that children go into. I felt like there was no privacy since the bathroom is in a shared space and I couldn’t lock the door to my room when using the bathroom without locking myself out of my own room. There was pretty much no soundproofing and I could hear a group of guys in the room next to me playing video games and cooking until midnight. They also smoked weed late at night and the smell went into my room. Not to mention that the pictures didn’t match the room I was given. The room was not clean, let alone the shared bathroom, which didn’t even have soap. With the creepy posters, I definitely wouldn’t stay overnight.. and would absolutely not recommend this place unless you have literally no other options.

I did not like anything about this property

It was tiny, the bulb was very dim, the kitchen had a bad odour, the stove was broken, the TV had no remote and there was overall noice around the property even at night
