I loved that the owner met us to explain all the features of the townhouse thoroughly. The place was in a quiet neighborhood but was close to access to public transport for easy connections to other parts of the city. This is the perfect place for any travelers looking for a bit more quiet and a lot more tradition and space than most hotels in Japan.

The only thing that could be improved is having a towel hook/rack by the sink. Other than that the place is absolutely perfect.

Peaceful and beautiful property without the hype of a tourist attraction.

The old school Japanese Ryokan feel was so cool, the location was great and Chie - the host - was fantastic to deal with and very friendly!

The Japanese garden that you can look at from the Japanese tatami room.

Wished to have the TV downstairs.

The host is friendly and welcoming us and the kids to the ryokan and brief induction on how to operate all the appliances in the house. There is washing machine facilities for guest to use, and they add a dryer too when we left. The location is great, just near Gion corner where all the things happening

Nous avons loué la suite Style Japonais Ukon. L'hôte qui nous a accueilli était très gentille et pleine de bons conseils sur les choses à visiter, à manger et elle a été très réactive. Nous avons été happé par les belles photos d'entrées du logement qui se confirment une fois sur place. L'endroit est très joli.

En revanche, nous avons été déçu par la qualité du logement comparé au prix payé ! À plus de 200€ la nuit, nous ne pensions pas avoir froid.. Il a été dur de maintenir 18° à l'intérieur du logement (mi-décembre). La climatisation et le chauffage à gaz devaient tourner en permanence en faisant beaucoup de bruit. L'équipement de la cuisine était très limité, un seul feu et très peu de place.
