Enormous CBD 1BR Unit with Parking by Zodiak Stays

Location, size of apartment and cleanliness. Did not use kitchen facilities but looked more than adequate.

Unaware when booking via booking.com that property was managed by third party, Zodiak Management. Required a lot more admin (multiple messages) of additional security bond, ID required, key pickup from lockbox in another location. Overall the stay was nice and great location but the initial admin required after securing booking on this site was unideal.

The location was excellent - just down the road from my workplace. It was roomy and very well appointed - it had everything I needed.

The bed was hard and the pillows were terrible.

So central for us as we had other family at hotels reasonably close by. It was also fantastic having the car park as we had driven up to Auckland from Hawke’s Bay.

Spacious apartments located close walking distance to harbour’s restaurants and a grocery shop. Just like in the pictures shown. Great to have free parking, the laundry facilities in the unit were excellent. Pre-arrival and check out instructions were clear. We had to collect the key from a different location but it was only a short distance to the apartment. Loads of cupboards in the bedroom with hanging. The bed was firm so may not suit all. The apartment is in a locked complex which requires a fob to get in and out. So you need two people to carry out the check out instructions, one to hold gate open while other returns the key to apartment.

The bathroom needs a deep clean to remove mould from grout. There are a few maintenance matters - not all power points in kitchen were working. Body corporate need to have timber on railings sanded and oiled as they are splitting. The lift was working but very slow.

Location and parking was great

The bed was quite uncomfortable with two people. The mattress was quite hard and it felt like you were rolling off the edges. I think if the bed was upgraded to a king and medium firmness mattress the place would be perfect. Also the backing of the curtains in the bedroom are deteriorating and left white marks over the arm of my black shirt. I was closing the curtains and the backing of the curtain rubbed on my sleeve (which is to be expected) and all this white powder stuff came off. That room must get quite a bit of sun so the curtain backing is basically disintegrating when it is touched. They need replacing. Everything else in the apartment was very acceptable.

Location excellent. Parking a huge bonus in CBD Akl. Apartment well laid out with all you require. Balcony well positioned for sun. Elevator a plus. 2 Toilets a plus. Kitchen well equipped. Bed comfortable. Good Wifi. :-) Fantastic apartment

A number of things could be improved. Water tap in kitchen wasnt stable. Fridge door cover needs to be attached better, it feel off. General maintenance of interior i.e. painting etc
