Casa d Sintra

A quirky and comfortable room right in the centre of Sintra. Carlos is a warm and welcoming host who went out of his way to help us settle in. We had a fantastic stay!

Location! Location! Location! The unit is in the middle of historic Sintra and right next to so many cute restaurants. We loved walking the streets every night. Public transportation is easy and readily available in the area. And Carlos was great!!! He picked us up from the train station, which was so helpful because I don’t think we would have found the place on our own! The apartment is very clean and decorated is a unique way.

Carlos warned us ahead of time that the building is older and the walls are bit thinner. You could definitely hear noises on the street, but they weren’t too bad. And it added to the charm of the place. Most of it died down by 9:00pm. We would have loved to have a few extra towels and some washcloths. Neither of these are deal breakers at all. I highly recommend this place!

There is no foodstore in old part of Sintra.

Right in the main historic center, very helpful staff. A nice place to rest after busy days of visiting the Sintra sights and close to many cafes and restaurants.

Perfect location. Could not ask for better. Extremely kind and helpful host. Great for kids. Everything you could want in downtown historic Sintra. A dream find.

The apartment is located in the heart of the historic center, just a short walk to the National Palace, shops and restaurants. It is cozy and comfortable, and well equipped. Carlos met us when we arrived and had a parking spot saved for us close by, which was a real benefit because parking is tough to come by in the center. He showed us the unit, gave us recommendations about things to do and places to eat, and explained the checkout procedure. We enjoyed our two-night stay.

There was a good deal of noise from the restaurant downstairs, but we knew that would be the case in advance. It was quiet by the time we went to bed each night.
