Casa Portuguesa Fanqueiros

Loved the contact with owners and checking in, it was all so straight forward. It was good to know they were available . Location was excellent. Bathroom had plenty of hot water for showers. We were a party of 4( 2 sisters and 2 daughters). Appartment was spotless, we had breakfast and lunch in appartment and ate out in the evening. Supermarket 5 mins away. Very spacious appartment, no living area but we didn’t need it as were out most of the time. The bars and restaurants up towards the castle were particularly lovely, we got Ubers to beaches no problem and used booking . Com for the airport transfers which were excellent. We really enjoyed our 3 day trip.

Great location and very easy to get to by metro

It was not an issue for me but the apartment is on the fourth floor and there is no escalators it’s an old building and that is part of the charm

The location was absolutely perfect - close enough to the action but far enough away that we weren't permanently absorbed in the fun of the city. The main apartment room was very well-lit, and Ricardo was very helpful throughout our stay.

Not much to complain about at all!

The location is amazing and the place is beautiful.

The one thing to know is that the two bedroom apartment is on the 3rd floor (which is equivalent to the 4th floor in American buildings), and there's no elevator. Keep that in mind when figuring out your luggage. It would also have been helpful to have a guide on hand to let us know how to access the WiFi.

Not the nicest location, the outside of the building and interior stairs not attractive, view opposite was of a derelict building. Balcony not for sitting on. Large living area but bedrooms small and one with no storage space or hooks for clothes. Furniture all needs upgrading, table top all chipped and scratched, sofa felt damp and silverfish inside the storage space. Washing machine doesn’t fit in its space. Freezer compartment was full of ice cubes and wouldn’t shut so inside the fridge was dripping wet. Paintwork everywhere was in need of a clean and a touch up. Kitchen not well equipped with a dirty drawer with a few dirty pans in, only 2 cups and 2 forks. Duvets stained and yellow and had lots of hair on them, no mattress protectors on any of the beds, under the twin beds was what looked like years of accumulated dust, dirt, tissues and a sock. Saw a small fast moving dark insect which I’m convinced was a bed bug. Awful drain smell in bathroom, filthy old toilet brush. So disappointed with this place, for the money we paid (ironically included a cleaning fee) it should have been much nicer. Ricardo responded immediately to my complaint about lack of cleaning and quickly made efforts to improve the situation but he couldn’t solve the fact that the place isn’t being cleaned properly and broken and worn out furniture needs replacing.

Perfect location close to everything, large living area and small but comfortable bedrooms, very quiet but near attractions

I extendid my trip. That's how i love Porto and this hotel.
