We had a wonderful stay in Funchal, and this place truly felt like a home away from home. Mary, the host, is such a kind and thoughtful person. She welcomed us personally at the property and provided all the information we needed. From the very beginning, we felt well taken care of. The location is fantastic, in the Lido area, which we found to be one of the nicest parts of Funchal. There’s a supermarket and a shopping mall just around the corner, as well as plenty of charming cafés where you can enjoy a good coffee and a Pastel de Nata in the morning. There’s also a bus stop just a couple of minutes away (Green Line 01 and 02), which was super convenient. And if you're driving, the property has a private garage, which was a big plus for us. The studio has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and kitchenware. While some items might not be brand new, everything works just fine, and as someone who also rents out two properties for short stays, I really appreciate the effort that goes into preparing a place like this. It's easy to criticize when you’re looking for flaws, but I think it’s much more important to recognize when a host truly makes an effort to offer guests a good experience, and Mary certainly does. The apartment is nicely decorated, and you can tell a lot of care and attention to detail went into setting it up. It has personality, warmth, and that special touch that makes you feel welcome. Thank you, Mary, for the lovely gifts and for making us feel so at ease. As for Madeira: it’s truly a one-of-a-kind destination. We’ve traveled to many countries and seen many beautiful places, but there’s something about this island that’s simply unforgettable. We fell in love with it, and we already hope to come back, and when we do, we’d love to stay here again. Thank you, Mary, for everything!

The accommodation and location is perfect - to the center of Funchal you need to walk 50 min but you can also take city bus (about 10 minutes to the center, for 1,95€) from the bus stop close to the apartment. Also the airport bus has their stop just near to the apartment. Right next to the apartment is the Forum Madeira shopping center, where you can find everything. We received a small welcome and goodbye gifts from the host which was additional plus. Mary is a very-very kind, and helpful person, she recommended us restaurants in the area and in Funchal also. She even allowed us to postpone the check-out to a later time. I really recommend this apartment.

Perfect stay for two. Spacious apartment with separate bedroom.

Missed a bit a dishwasher but it wasn’t a problem at all.

Good location, affordable price and very nice, responsive gost.

An exemplary host (Mary) and a great contact with her. she advised us on everything we asked. In apartment awaited more than one surprise. Very close to public transport (local and longway buses) and shops (shopping mall). I recommend Mary with her apartment.
