Excellent apartment very clean friendly and helpful staff amazing view

I genuinely enjoyed my stay here. the rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and extremely clean. the staff is A+ although communications might be more slowly paced due to language restrictions. the location is very relaxing. this is not a place for the buzz of somewhere like paje. keep in mind!

there really isn’t anything not to like. it’s a bit further from paje than I understood. that is no problem at all. but many amenities such as a small market or atm are absent so if one needs anything, you must traverse to Paje 🙂

Location… pristine white sand beaches

We really enjoyed our stay at The View. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing getaway, this is a place for you. The hotel is beautifully designed with a lot of attention to the details. It really lives to its name, since the view from the room is incredible. The room was very clean and comfortable, the stuff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and had several options to choose from. The hotel also operates a very nice bar with tasty drinks and food. We also were very pleased to meet Yudee and Joop, the owners. They are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Everything was just perfect :)

The hotel is situated in a small village, the nearest ATM is 20min drive, as well as a large supermarket. So this is something that you need to take into account when you are planning your stay.

Beautiful property made from an old boat. Big rooms, bed so comfy I have never slept so well. Everything you need is in the apartment with the most amazing views!

The view, breakfast, host and personnel were amazing. You can wake up in front of the beach with a sunrise from the comfort of your appartment.

Location is amazing, in terms of the view and the soundscape. The sea is right there in front, and the waves offer a mesmerizing soundtrack to the days: at high tide, the waves are lapping against the front wall of the hotel. I would sit outside your room with that sound and that view, completely fulfilled, needing nothing. There is a very relaxed vibe a round the place: the place is run is a very professional manner, but the owner lives in the complex too, there for you if you need support or advice. I can recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Gorgeous location, fantastic staff, exceptional food, and my goodness what a view! First of all, nothing beats being right on the beach and waking up to spectacular sunrise with the iconic Rock restaurant as the backdrop. The View of Zanzibar is the perfect location for that. But the absolute cherry on the cake is sitting down in the evenings with great food, some really nice tunes (thanks Joop!) and watching the moonrise from The View. What a magical experience. When the tide is high and the wind is just right, this beach is a really good spot for body surfing. The View also has the advantage of being adjacent to the village so while you get a 'beach resort' feel and quality with the service, it's also nice to watch and engage with people in the community as they come out to relax and go about their lives. Aside from the fantastic location, the staff at The View are wonderful - very keen to help and always up for a good laugh. The owners Yudee and Joop are the nicest people, and we couldn't say enough about the hospitality and warmth they showed us. Joop organised some pretty exciting adventures for us including snorkeling, an fun sail on a traditional dow, and an excursion to the mangroves. An additional bonus was hanging out with Rocky, the resident beach dog who has adopted The View as his family. By the time our stay came to an end, we were sad to leave and felt like part of The View family. Do yourself a favour and just stay here. It'll certainly be memorable.
