Merrythought Cottage - entire 2 bed, 2 bath cottage in the heart of Rye citadel

The food and drink was a lovely extra. Also visitors to bird bath in front of bed window mad the mornings very relaxing.

Central location, excellent facilities, character building

This was self catering so breakfast was not included. The location was so central it was perfect to look round Rye. The Welcome Pack was lovely - thank you for that.

The parking was a problem as it wasn't close to the property to unload etc but I know that is one of the challenges with Rye.

The property couldn’t be more central and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area pleasant.

The downstairs second bedroom was a bit cramped and a tad damp. The room dried up with the towel rail on.

The welcome pack of bread, butter, milk, tea & cereals etc was very welcome. Because it was a short stay we were out most of the time but the kitchen would have been fine for preparing more substantial meals. The lounge and dining area were very pleasant and it was easy to open the windows for fresh air. The location was perfect and very handy as we arrived by rail.

Two double rooms with en-suite plus two living areas

Bells in church opposite chiming every 15 mins - although we did get used to them!
