Luxury apartment in the heart of Bath

Good location near attractions and transport. Apartment was roomy.

Stairs to the basement where the apartment was is slippery and narrow, had some difficulty since I had a minor injury. Room floor was kinda clean but floor vinyls are not even, with gaps between the room and hallway. Can't take a hot shower after someone else as the hot water runs out. Bed wasn't comfy, pillows were very thin. Couch was more comfortable.

no contact with the host issues ganing access, poor lighting to the basement level courtyard, dangerous, steps to navigate before lighting came on, very shabby courtyard needs a good clear out. messaging the owner impossible no response to messages phone number just goes to voice mail but voice mail box full.

Location couldnt have been better. We were there for the Christmas market which was literally a few steps away. We found it extremely quiet considering the location.Property had everything one would need for an enjoyable stay and was spotlessly clean.

There was only one thing that unfavourably impacted our stay. As older ladies with walking difficulties we chose this apartment for proximity to the sights and ease of return to rest and relax. We could not get the TV to work. This may not be a problem for most but we were back for the evening by around 8pm with no TV and that did impact our stay however we did find some dvds on the second night which was great.

The location was superb, minutes from the Roman Baths and the Abbey and still quiet. It was warm on arrival. The bed was comfortable and warm and it was quiet. The coffee machine was great. The shower and bath was nice, hot water, good towels. Plenty of space, useful guide books, toiletries.

There were many issues with Apartment 8 and the owners did not respond to my email. The tv did not work. It was half hanging off when we arrived and we could not reinstall the channels. The sofa was a joke - 6 inches off the floor (we found the legs in a drawer), no seat cushions, couldn't use it. There was no working light outside by the steep stone stairs so it was very dangerous in the pitch black to access the apartment. We were not told that the apt. was below street level one, down a flight of stairs with only brick walls to look out at). There were only 2 coat hangers in the apt!!! There were thick cobwebs in all rooms and the windows, extractor fan and light shades were thick with dust. The gas hob did not work. We went outside to turn the gas on but it still did not work. None of the clocks, including the central heating timer, had been changed since the October clock changes. There were missing glasses and several light bulbs not working. There was a missing door threshold strip by the bedroom. There was a rotten skirting board in the bathroom. The fridge door was broken. There was no attention to detail, no care or love shown by the cleaner and/or the owner for this apartment. We gave them the opportunity to fix some of these issues before we gave our feedback but they did not bother to reply so here is the truth. Considering the price we paid, I would expect much better quality, much better maintenance, and much better attention to detail. Disappointed 😞

The location could not have been any better! Most attractions and restaurants were just steps away.

Not enough hangers, wardrobe door coming off hinges, sofa totally unusable/falling apart, bottle of cleaning solution full of mildew. The bathtub could have used a grab bar and non-slip mat. Area outside of the unit was gross; pieces of carpet with moss & mildew growing on them, planter falling apart.

Half the details in the property description are inaccurate - the sole benefit is that it is central. Communication and facilities are hugely lacking.

Communication with the property owner was non-existent after we checked in, and it's very clear that numerous things have gone wrong with the property, and he's just neglected to fix them - which signficantly impacted our stay. It states that the property has a TV. Which is true - it just doesn't work and you cannot watch anything on it. It won't connect to terrestrial television, and is not internet enabled so cannot be used for any alternative platforms, such as streaming. We just wanted to stay in and watch something on BBC One, and it wouldn't allow us to do that. It was only after we started looking through previous reviews that we saw the property owner had told numerous guests that the TV was due to be fixed soon. This would be fine - if those reviews, and that claim, didn't date back to 2022. Also the cushions from the sofa are missing, so you are effectively sitting on a hard wooden base that forms part of the sofa bed. The sofa is clearly meant to have cushions, but something has obviously happened to them and he hasn't replaced them. Additionally - as soon as we switched the lounge lamp on, it started flickering and so had to quickly be turned off. All these issues could potentially be dealt with if the property owner responded to any communication. Early in the evening of our sole night's stay, we called him to make him aware of the issues - both from my phone, and my partner's. We also messaged on the booking.com app. He did not respond to any attempts at communication, and two days after leaving we are still to hear anything back from him. He seems to be relying on the property's central location as a draw, and clearly has no interest in maintaining the property essentials, or liaising with guests when issues arise. When basic communication and home comforts are non-existent it really takes the shine off what could have been a comfortable escape for me and my partner.

The apartment is in a excellent location for getting about the city. There was everything in the apartment that we needed for our weekend stay
