The Brown House

Amazing place, really clean, very spacious and well located, plenty of restaurants within a short walk and boats to cross the Nile. The whole apartment was extremely clean, good shower and kitchen had all the main amenities. The views to the mountain from the balcony and the Nile up in the roof are beautiful. Yasser helped me with my daily tours with a private driver for a fair price, Youssef, the driver, was very polite and patient while I explored the many sites on the West bank. Definitely returning with my family to enjoy the Brown House again.

Best accomodation in Luxor. Efficient airport pickup. Very quiet location. Huge apartment. Comfort. Balcony. Rooftop terrace. Location. Price. Shower, hot and strong pressure. I was very happy here.

Major glitches in cleanliness: fridge was not clean at all. Kitchen poorly equipped. Internet unusable most of the time. Nevertheless the stay was great and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Luxor.

It was a perfect apartment for me, bright, spacious, beautifully designed with everything you need. I had the apartment on the top floor with balcony and view of the Nile, both from the bedroom window and the terrace, so I would sit out with my breakfast every morning looking over the Nile. And with a perfect view of the Kurna mountain from the other side, when you step out of the front door of the apartment. The best thing about this place though are the two brothers who own / run the place. Arafat & Yasir. They are two of the kindest, most generous and hospitable human beings I have ever met. They will go out of their way to help you, and they helped me above and beyond what could have been expected when I had a severe bout of food poisoning from a watermelon juice in a restaurant on the east bank. (avoid watermelon juice in the winter - it is out of season and not necessary stored properly - and definitely don't have ice in your juices!). I cannot recommend this place highly enough! I have seen all the rooms in the properly and they are all beautifully laid out.

Nothing, it was perfect!

This place is perfect for a stay in Louxor. The apartment is clean and very spacious. It is located close to the pier and there is plenty of restaurants around. Yasser is a fantastic host and does everything in order to help you. Thanks you also for the arabic lessons ! Will definitively come back.

The apartment is close to all kinds of shops, the public ferry, and a great starting point when heading to the Valleys (I took a bike!) - yet it is very quiet and calm. The apartment is equipped with a kitchen and beautiful view. Yasser, the manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful. On my first day, he showed me around town and helped me with everything. I wish I could've stayed longer!

My stay in The Brown House was fantastic. I was there for 8 days and would have very happily stayed longer if I could have. Communication by WhatsApp with Arafat and his brother Yesser was excellent with prompt replies always. The "studio" was in fact not a studio but an apartment!!. It was spotlessly clean and in a quiet area on the West bank of Luxor. Arafat was away while I was there and so it was Yesser who looked after me. He could not have been more helpful. While I was there he showed me around places that I would never have seen as a tourist. On one of the days he invited me to dinner with his lovely wife Karima and their son Adam. He organised a very reliable driver for me on the days when I needed one. Ahmed the driver was a true gentleman-so kind, punctual, respectful and knowledgeable. Thanks to Yesser, Ahmed and Arafat for a memorable stay in Luxor.

It would have been better if I could have stayed longer!!!
