Delux 1 bedroom studio in City Centre - late check out

Ok to stay for a couple of days, but wouldn't stay any longer. Pictures are quite old and apartment looks more worn

The apartment was small but has everything what you might be looking for. Very good location. Bed and sofa (for sleeping) - very comfortable.

Location excellent

All apartment was poor quality, lighting all arround wass so dark and unconfortable. Facilities in bathroom and toilet was in poor conditions, walls painting needs to be refresh.

Beautiful stylish old-school big apartment. Light. It has many windows, they look out on the yard, so it's quiet. Heard birds singing in the morning. Nice neighbourhood in the New Town.

Wash the sofa. It is white and was dusty. The fridge was hardly working. Enough for me, but for more items it might be not cool enough.

I chose this place based on the price which is reasonable. The location is okay and about a kilometre to the old town. There are coffee shops close by and a supermarket in the next block. It was quiet apart from occasional street noise which wasn't disturbing. It was great having a washing machine and dryer. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but the mattress does need updating. Clear instructions and photos of the check in process.

The fridge smelt disgusting, and I cleaned it out with soapy water and put a couple of dried laurel leaves in the bottom to cover the smell. The freezer door is broken Cups in the drawer had not been washed properly and had brown marks in them that I cleaned off before using them. The shower is very small, and it was a struggle to close the sliding door. All those stairs! I still don't know how I managed carrying my suitcase up after a long day and late at night. The worst thing for me was being asked when I was leaving on the first day that I was there! I felt like an unwanted guest. The owner explained that she wanted to tell the cleaner, but I thought I had the place until checkout time. When I didn't provide a time, thinking I would just leave at 11, I got another message. I ended up leaving at 8.30 and sitting at the bus station. I understand that the cleaner needs to come in, but I've paid to be there until 11, and surely they can wait!

As I had checked the reviews before making the reservation, I got an accurate picture of the pros and cons of this place. We were satisfied with the studio, it was a good choice, considering also the price as an important factor in our decision. I liked the area very much, it's not far from the city center, but has its own pleasant atmosphere. For me, the house was OK as well, it was not run-down or dirty, just aged and lived-in, with a bit of a damp smell in the stairwell at the ground level, but not on the floor of the studio. It's a historical city, you can consider it as part of the experience :-) The lack of elevator was not a problem for us, while it may be a problem for others.

The studio has a somewhat unusual layout, the most unusual is the lack of bathroom door as pointed out in other reviews. I would not recommend it for two strangers (unless they want to get better acquainted during their stay :-))), but it's very unlikely two strangers would reserve such a place anyway. As a family, we could manage. The toilet is well separated. The other design features are rather interesting.
