Beware of your deposit at Central Park Lagunas So this place has pros and cons. Pros - Its a new build and is all clean and nice. Rooms are lovely and spacious. Nice pool area. Cons - Road to the place is in appalling condition and will wreck your car. Power cuts are regular - every day Water is cut whenever power goes out No clean towels/sheets or cleaning for the week No recycling of plastic bottles You have to leave a deposit which you will likely not get back or at least not all of it back. My daughter got sunblock on the sheets and I was charged 72€ which is unreasonable. Staff are argumentative and unprofessional when trying to talk to them about the charge. On arrival dirty sheets were on one of the beds. Tulum has an edgy dangerous feel about the place, lots of army with big riffles, streets not lit up properly, shanty town feel and generally not yet ready for tourists. Its far from a chill place.

Booked the penthouse suite purely for the privacy with a private pool

No WiFi. Staff gave me a list of all the WiFi passwords but would not stay connected, I was told to sit by bar - not suitable for my job Wanted to hire a bike, staff took me next door, poorly maintained bike, tyre came off while out so had to hire another bike to get back then staff acted like they didn't know who took me to hire the bike but it was not staff Kept awake most nights by loud music from surround areas or other guests, I wear ear plugs and heavy sleeper, the walls are so thin / not sound proofed Roads not possible to wheel suitcase you need taxi. Paid $12 to go 0.350m!!! Unless you stay 9 days you have to pay for cleaning. AVOID.
