Foundry Farm Cottage

This property was fantastic. It was very comfortable and secure enough to let the dog out in the garden without worrying of her escape. The facilities were fabulous - everything you needed was there and there was plenty to do in the area. There is a local supermarket within 5 minutes walk to get any essentials you might run out of. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would like to return in the future. It was like being home from home. Thank you for accommodating us!

Beautiful cottage set in a lovely quiet area but within a village with everything you need. If you want a nice relaxing stay in comfort this is the place. Great for walking and exploring too .

Lovely, clean and fantastic location. Property itself is great, was woken early on a couple of mornings as it’s next to a brewery but this cannot be helped. The hosts were easy to contact and very prompt with replies and queries. Perfectly situated in the centre to walks and local shops, pubs etc. we did wish we had booked an additional day because there’s so much to do within the area! The milk in the fridge and bread and jam was a lovely thought and clearly the hosts care about your stay. Heating was very effective throughout the property and we were never cold, considering it was freezing cold outside when we stayed! WiFi excellent. We didn’t make use of the hot tub due to extremely cold and icy weather, looks comfortable for two people. We will stay again dependent on if the double mattress is changed.

The double mattress was extremely hard! There is firm and there is borderline wood. Me and my partner considered pushing the twin beds together from the other room. This was the only let down! Instead we placed two quilts on top of the mattress. We hope the bed is considered to be changed so we can stay again, unfortunately 3 nights on a bed like that doesn’t do you any good, especially when you’ve spent your days walking and climbing to waterfalls. Also, states there is a coffee machine, there is not. We also didn’t find washing machine/tumble dryer in the property.

Beautiful property , peaceful , cosy and tranquil location close to shops , pubs , garage and a walking trail to the waterfall . Exceptionally clean with great modern amenities and the hot tub in the garden is a plus and very relaxing at night with garden lights .

I think the hot tub should have some kind of shade from sun and rain

Property was extremely cold. There were exposed sockets in one bedroom and a smashed window in the other bedroom which isn’t great with a young family.

This is our second time staying at Foundry Farm and we love it. This year we were blessed with a snow storm which made our festive get together even more perfect. Even though there was a power cut across Bellingham, it was nice to be disconnected from a while, sitting chatting whilst watching the log fire burn. The little things we take for granted in our day to day lives. Could not fault the host, he came up and checked on us to see if there was anything we needed and came back with a cork screw (priorities). We spent the remainder of the afternoon building snowmen, chilling in the hot tub and cooking an early christmas roast. Thank you for such a memorable weekend we will be back! ❤️

The location was wonderful.. the cottage was lovely with a well stocked kitchen and immaculately clean. I would definitely stay here again!
