Cottages-Whitby

We liked the location near the river and near beach and restaurants. Nice local pubs to visit. We wanted something self contained with cooking facilities and a bath which it had.

The bedding could have been higher quality an especially the pillows. Fluffy white towels would have been nice rather than harsh grey ones. There wasn’t a great deal of cooking equipment could do with wooded spoons, spatulas. We drank Champagne but only one champagne glass.

I wanted to book a quirky cottage in Whitby with everything I needed, in town, no hassle, WiFi and found it within moments of looking on the site. And helpful when I asked a question.

Nice little place but due to unforeseen circumstances the trip was dampened by a new boiler having to be fitted while we were there which took all the morning and into the afternoon on the saturday so couldnt really go back to chill or warm up or use the bathroom facilities! As it was cold that weekend it was a bit of a nightmare. We were offered a partial refund but have not heard anything since so was being fobbed off! So I can clearly kiss goodbye to that!! Would not return.

Perfect location 👌, nice little cottage ..

Wonderful location and the cottage is quaint, cosy and surprisingly peaceful.

The location was perfect for us to see Whitby. The heating was excellent for heat and hot water. I love a bath rather than a shower. Bed was comfortable.

The television was difficult to negotiate. Changing channels was not easy! The lights were rather dim, could have been brighter especially in the kitchen A side table or coffee table would have been useful in the living room to put cups on, rather than use the floor.

Cosy cottage with lovely features. Excellent location 😊
