It was centrally located. Quiet neighborhood, easy for me to get everywhere I needed to go. Parking was right in front, but you have to back up down a long driveway as it's not easy to turn around (or you need to back down the driveway as you leave which is harder). Wifi was good, space was quiet. AC worked well.

The shower wasn't great. The valves are broken, so you needed to find the sweet spot to turn off the water, which is hard when you have hot and cold water flowing. The shower head is weak, so take a bit to rinse off. The whole deposit thing is disconcerting and didn't sit right. It's not done through booking.com, and it's done as a friends and family payment on Paypal so that the host doesn't incur charges, but there is no guarantee on our side that we'll get our money back and gives us no recourse through Paypal. As of today, 2 days after I left, I still have not received my deposit back and that makes me anxious. They got their deposit before I got the room. They cleaned and saw the room at 11am the day I left. The least they could do is refund the money that same day. If the host wants to guarantee their deposit, they should make it as seamless and simple as possible. Maximizing your upside while dumping the stress on to the guests doesn't sit well with me. I've rented tons of rooms through AirBnB and never had to deal with a situ like this. I always leave a space as good or better than I got it.

Great location! Really loved the area. Lots of good restaurants. Andre was very responsive to any questions I had. Don’t worry about the $300 deposit. I got it back within a few days of leaving. Bed was comfortable and shower had great water pressure. Kitchen had most everything you’d need. My only (very minor) gripe is I wish the tv was a smart tv so you could watch Netflix, etc.
