GOCCE VILLAS - El Royale Suites Sorrento

Розташування апартаментів неймовірне, в самому центрі Сорренто, з балкону вид на море, до залізничного вокзалу та автобусів на Неаполь та амальфітанське узбережжя 10 хв пішки. В апартаментах є все необхідне - праска, фен, посудомийна машина, пральна машина, три окремі кімнати і кухня. Дуже привітна господиня Grazia, яка нас приємно зустріла, все детально розповіла.

Все було супер

The view of the olive grove and the sea was awesome. We loved being close to action but somehow tucked away and quiet. Grazia was an amazing host and gave great advice!

The property is listed as having 2 bathrooms, but the second is shower only. We were traveling with another couple and had not intended to have a single toilet for 4 adults. So once we got past the, the place and the host were both amazing.

Location was handy to all areas and the accommodation was roomy.

Advertised photos were of several different properties and we did not know which one we were getting.

No complaints about the location or the size of the apartment, but what I can't accept is photos that make the unit look comfortable and luxurious when it was actually very average. We had our daughter with us so instead of getting 2-rooms at a hotel, we felt a higher end 2-bedroom apartment would be a better value. And this place seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, the apartment we got provided only the bare minimums. The beds were more what you would see in a dormitory and the kitchen, although spacious, had non-working appliances with missing knobs, grills and such. The wicker seats you see one of the terrace photos turned out to be cheap plastic seats. Not acceptable for a highly rated place but maybe we just got the low-end unit they had.

If you're going to spend $450/night, which is what it turned out to be when you added in taxes and VAT, I would expect the apartment to offer similar upgrades as a middle tier hotel would. It would not be hard to update the unit so that it reflects that, which is what the pictures showed. But unfortunately, we didn't receive that. In addition, I had Gocce Villas arrange for our pickup when we arrived at the Naples train station to be delivered to the apartment via a van. What we got was a driver with a small Peugeot car which could barely fit our suitcases. In addition, the cost was €180 euros since we ended up paying by credit card. In response to my complaint, Gocce Villas promised to make amends with a van and a reduced price of €130 euros cash or €143 euros by credit card to be taken to the Naples airport when we checked out. I said OK, but never got confirmation. In the end, I approached a limo driver on the street in Sorrento, called his agency and they picked us up the next morning in a Mercedes sedan for €130 euros cash or credit.

The property was so clean, spacious and exactly what we were expecting.

The floor was quite dirty. Two of the 3 AC units did not work.

Great location. Very responsive property manager. She made us feel so welcome.

Perfect location. Close to all the shop's, beaches and restaurants. And only about 10-15 min walk to train/bus station. Plenty of room 5 of us. Full kitchen and great patio with view of the water. Host was super helpful
