Cosy near centre Edinburgh apartment

Apartment was lovely- well furnished & cosy. Communication with owner was great. Location is good for getting into all the tourist sites in the city on foot or by bus.

Clean and nicely decorated. Host provided lots of information.

No milk, coffee or other basics for a one-night stay which we thought should be provided especially given it was extremely expensive. Tiny old towels. Neighborhood is a bit rough and dirty.

Internal furnished sufficiently provided. Location is good enough.

The entrance door, doorway corridor and staircase are poorly maintained, and poorly lighted properly. There is no carpark facility, as it was stipulated. Construction work is in front of the apartment. The door lockset is wrongly labeled The lockset for toilet window drop off.

Clean, comfortable and good location. Suitable for 3 people.

The apartment is an easy bus ride into the center of the city. It is about a 30 minute walk. It is bright and roomy with a clean and functioning bathroom.

A major construction project is taking place on the front street of which I was not made aware until we arrived. It made access a bit tricky but since we were out sightseeing most of the day, we really weren't disturbed by the noise. The hallway is very dim at night. Apparently, the Council determines when the lights turn on but we never saw them. With help from the skylight, we were able to navigate them without mishap. There was a water leak from the ceiling in the bedroom that was unexpected but our host, Mario, was quick to act to fix it.

Really loved how clean it was maintained with all the essential utilities. The host was very helpful and was available all times.

The only concern was that there was no lift in the property, that made it difficult for us as I travelled with older people and a few heavy luggages. The information of no availability of lift could have been mentioned somewhere.

Location was fantastic. Instructions were clear. The kitchen is well equipped. Loved the bookcase in the corridor.

The bed and sofa could do with being upgraded. Whole place needs an uplift/paint, particularly the bathroom and bedroom. Living room could do with at least one more lamp. You can hear noise from the other flats.

The facility had everything we needed, it was like staying at a home away from home!

The building foyer was a little dark and scary, and it was up two flights of stairs.
