The apartment is just darling! Everything was perfect. The kitchen is huge.

The location of the apartment is very good, and with good communication to the city centre. It is spacious, clean, furnished with lovely taste. The kitchen is very well equipped. Communication with Gill was easy. She sent her son on the second day to check the tv connection as we were not able to play live tv. We used Whatsapp to communicate and she was always very responsive. She offered to bring fresh towels as well. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay at her lovely apartment.

We asked if we could have a late checkout as our flight was only in the late afternoon, and when she responded no, we understood that new guests would be arriving in the afternoon, no problem. She then reminded us 2 days before checking out that the cleaner would be there at 10am and if we could adhere to the checkout protocol. It would have been welcome if she gave some tips where to find luggage storage in the city. We then found it by ourselves but perhaps she could include this gesture for future guests with a similar issue. What we found quite strange is that we had to strip our own bed and put the bed linen into a bag - because of "Scottish Covid protocol". I think that in 2024 this is over the top. (Even in the middle of the pandemic, in 2021 there had not been such request in any of the accommodations we stayed in, neither in Scotland, nor elsewhere.) For the price of the stay (which is quite high), I don't think guests should strip their own bed.

It was in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It was a very, very cute and comfortable apartment. We stayed as three friends, and they provided an air mattress for one of our friends, which was very comfortable. There was a bus stop right in front of the house, so we easily went everywhere. There were also nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The kitchen of the house was very functional, and the cleanliness was adequate.

The only issue was heating. Sometimes we felt very cold

Gill was amazingly helpful and very responsive which has not always been my experience. She was informative so that there was never any confusion about how to access or what to do once we had checked out, gave us clear guidelines for the exit process, and even came by on request to drop off additional amenities we requested. It was right next to the 27 bus stop to downtown, very convenient but a quiet enough neighborhood that you can have an early morning or late night walk away from the major hustle and bustle. Haymarket station is an easy 20 minute walk away, with many stores, shops and cafes/restaurants along the way. Great place to stay for a week!!! Thank you Gill!!!
