The Polwarth Apartment

The sofa bed was broken die to a previous guests, (Oct 23)which meant we had to use a blow up bed in the living room. The children saw this as a adventure, but was a faff to set up and put away each morning. No dishwasher. Parking was half a mile away next to the park.

Fully equipped apartment in a very quiet area of Edingburgh but just 20’ walking from the center

Street parking paid for and always full so nowhere to park. Thank goodness for a relative nearby. Broken ‘luxury’ sofa bed so had to attempt to sleep on uncomfortable air mattress. Far too much money for essentially camping in a lounge. Owner unbothered and gave no alternative option or recompense.

Nice quite location, flat was clean.

Sofa bed was broken and property does not come with parking. It’s a ten minute walk away street parking.

Spacious rooms with all basic amenities, quiet location, small grocery shop & bus stop mext to property.

The apartment is on the second floor, and there is no lift. We suffered lifting our heavy suitcases to the accommodation and apparently no help. The common area / lonby inside the building is not clean, stings, and is a bit scary look. The accommodation is not for disabled & elderly people with difficulty to claim. No air-conditioning, just one portable standing fan is not enough.

We loved the location of this apartment as it felt safe and residential. The apartment itself was spacious and it was great having a lounge to hang out in with a modern TV. There was plenty of clothing storage & kitchen was lovely

The bathroom door was frosted glass and you could see through which was a bit uncomfortable at times with 3 of us staying there, this could definitely be an issue for some travellers who need more privacy.

First of all, Gill is an amazing host. Whenever we had any question, she did her best to help us. The apartment has a bus station right in front of it, which makes it really easy to reach the city center(bus 10&19 if I remember well). The neighbourhood is quiet and there are lots of small stores. We had a one week stay and everything was awesome.
