The Polwarth Apartment

Really friendly and helpful owner, it was in a quiet area with the essentials in close proximity. Easy walk into the city but also bus stops close too. The apartment was well equipped and good for 3 adults.

There wasn't really anything to dislike, the bathroom was a little small but it was okay. The single bedroom was also a little small but as we were only there for 3 days it was fine.

The property was neat and tidy and looked exactly like it did in the pictures.

Shortly before we arrived we were notified by the property owner that the sofa bed had been broken. This was disappointing as we had planned to use it. An airbed was provided to replace it but it wasn’t what we had anticipated. The much bigger issue was that there was no hot water at the property during our visit. There was an attempt to resolve this but it could not be mended and as such we could not stay for 3 nights with no washing facilities. As such we had the leave property early and book other accommodation at short notice and at additional cost. We were assured that we would be compensated for this and I felt that the property owner would do this in a reasonable time frame following her messages with me that gave a clear date when I could expect this to happen. It has now been over 5 weeks since we vacated and we still have not received any money back. This has been very disappointing and meant our stay was not at all what we had hoped for and has left me out of pocket.

Quiet area. Near to bus stop into city.
