Incredible location on the Royal Mile and staying in such a well-preserved, historical building was a wonderful experience for our family of four. The thoughtful decor, with its historical imagery, the timber carved with quotes from poetry and literature, and the super cute shower screen, made the apartment extra special.

There were a few minor maintenance issues with the apartment and we weren't able to make contact with the owners to ask about them. Also, very minor, would be nice if little considerations could be made - e.g. there was only one dishwasher tablet for a three night stay. Sounds trivial, but little things like that make you feel at home when you're so far away : )

The flat was warm, clean and comfortable. Everything you needed for a few days stay. Would definitely come back to stay.

The climb up the step's is the worst thing, however when you reach the apartment, everything is great. My mother is 73, and although the climb is tough, as long as we rested on the way up, it was manageable, and once inside it was fine.

Wonderful accommodation with so much character, comfy beds, great location, free ice cream, easy check in.. the list goes on!

Nowhere to store luggage after check out but that's it! Everything else was perfect!
