The location is fantastic!! It is so fun and helpful to be able to walk to all the Royal Mile and its surrounding areas have to offer. The coffe/ice cream cafe on the ground floor is such a treat as well!

It would be great to have some hooks in the entry foyer for coats. Also, the section of road in front of the location gets blocked when there are concerts at the castle and other downtown events. It would be very helpful to be given a heads up ahead of arrival, as there are very few nearby areas to access the property.

Great location, wonderful 2 bedroom apartment.

The stairs to the apartment are indeed very steep (but we were warned about this prior to arrival). Could use a coffee machine!

Perfect location, great accommodations, and very good communication with the owner.

Just the stairs, but that's not the property's fault, it's just the nature of the historical building! But whew, they are no joke!

"Wonderful experience!"

The apartment was wonderful and there was plenty of room for my family of 4 (kids ages 19 & 22). The location was excellent in the heart of the royal mile. We loved that the bedrooms were upstairs and the family room was down. Made the stay very comfortable. It’s was VERY clean and just a nostalgic place to stay!

The stairs getting to the apartment were challenging to navigate with large pieces of luggage. That said, there is no remedy for that given the construction of the building and its age.

Old Town location Comfortable furniture

Nowhere to hang coats - suggest hooks are placed under the stairs. Wooden shutters blocked the light and view when indoors - suggest these are allowed to open fully and a sheet of glass or perspex is inserted behind for safety/security, while still allowing the view and light.
