Centrally Located Cozy Studio Apartment in SD

Location was great.

The neighborhood had a lot of homeless and drug addicts walking around. But that’s not the host’s fault. Most of downtown San Diego is that way.

The room was very clean and spacious, and 3 layers of security made it feel very safe. It was a quick walk to Balboa Park and short Uber ride to everything else in town that I wanted to visit.

While it didn't bother me personally, the building is close to the airport & right under the flight path of incoming planes - they did provide earplugs (which I didn't use), but if you're a light sleeper it may be disruptive. Also, there was no desk or table, so for eating & working on my laptop, I had to use my lap.

The room was very clean, and the staff were very helpful. The location was good for getting around as the gas lamp area was only 15min walk, and 25 min walk to the harbour and sea port village.

The bed was uncomfortable. It was a bit like sleeping on a bouncy castle. We had a ten night stay and thought a bed change would have been nice. Unable to flush toilet paper down toilet, so a bin with a lid on it would be better.

The room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable. We also received really clear instructions on how to get into the property.

As other reviews say, the walls were very thin and we could hear the conversation and the music of the people in the room next door at 2am. There was also a lot of noise and shouting from the street on our first night. The area was fine in the day time but didn’t feel especially safe at night, I wouldn’t recommend staying here as a woman on your own.

The noise from the surrounding guest or neighbors. For the past two nights in a row the upstairs neighbor kept making noises. They kept moving furniture around for two hours. The bed was small and I just wasn’t sure if this was an air bnb in an apartment complex or was the whole lapartment complex an air bnb place. The room safe was locked.

Clean and accommodating! Host was informative and helpful.

Great value for the money and close to little italy for great dining

Location was questionable. Important to have a car. Quick drive to everywhere
