Eastbourne Town centre Maisonette apartment

Good space and location, clean. Good value. Beds comfortable. Well decorated and furnished in a nice but neutral way. Great location near the station and the town centre. Was surprisingly quiet at night. We’ll set out lounge - the 5 of us had plenty of space.

rooms were clean but some lack of preparation eg lights in one bedroom not working, we had to go and find bulbs, no hairdryer and only 4 forks despite it saying there was a hairdryer on the list. One chair out looking very mouldy on the balcony, door to balcony broken with a sign saying not to use it -not a problem as we weren’t going to! I sprayed the freshener around upstairs as it smelt a bit unclean - but wasn’t!

Problems with the heating and hot water

Location was great and shops were near to the property.

Heating wasn’t working and hit water was not coming !! I ask the host about it and she casually tell me it will work , it’s in timer but it didn’t work at all . Both heating and hot water was not available.

No heating for the first night, had to sleep in our coats. Broken and very poorly maintained windows Unable to reach our contact person when the heating stopped twice. Unsafe front door. No lights in the third bedroom

Key very stiff. Struggled with central heating system. No hairdryer. Was dirty in places. No games cupboard! Could do with a few family board games etc

Die Wohnung war gross und hatte drei Schlafzimmer. Die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche waren sauber. Auch das Bad war geputzt.

Die Wohnung braucht dringend eine Renovierung. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Die Teppiche und die Sitzmöbel sind verschmutzt und tw. Zerrissen. Die Küchenausstattung war bei Ankunft tw. nicht sauber, die Pfannen zerkratzt. Die Balkontür durften wir auf Hinweis nicht öffnen, weil sie defekt ist. Die oberen Fenster im Wohnzimmer konnte man nicht schliessen, sie waren defekt. Die Wohnung liegt an einer vielfrequentierten Strasse mit Bushaltestellen, an der es sich wegen der nicht schliessbaren Fenster ständig laut ist. Auch und vor allem in der Nacht. Nahe des Hauses campten Obdachlose. Die Wohnungstür selber hatte kein eigenes Schloss, nur die Haustür. Die Haustür konnte man nicht abschliessen. Wir fühlten uns unsicher und sicherten die Wohnungstür mit Möbeln. In der Wohnung war es hellhörig, gegen das Möwengeschrei helfen nur Ohrstöpsel. Wir haben defekte Dinge reklamiert, bis auf einen Wäscheständer allerdings keinen Support erhalten. Alles in allem ein sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt.
