Modern 1 Bedroom Apartment 5mins from the NEC!

The location of the property was great for walking to restaurant's, takeaways and shops. The TV worked, the heating in the kitchen/diner worked. The NEC easy distance to drive to, but more than 5 mins away.

Heater in bedroom did not work. Towel rail in Bathroom did not work. Toiletries not provided as stated. Cooker hob, glass smashed on 3 rings, not safe to use. Traffic noise very loud all night. Toilet seat too small for toilet and loose. Communal stairway, disgusting filthy carpet.

Worst service ever! I was stranded outside and no one picked up the phone, replied to my emails or called me back. I left my meetings early and rescheduled others to ensure I was here before 5pm. The codes provided were incorrect and I could not access the main building. I emailed and called multiple times and no one got back to me. It was cold! Thankfully after 1hr and a half another resident let me into the main building. This meant I then missed my rescheduled meetings. I checked out this morning. The WiFi was terrible and couldn't do any of my work, the place was cold and no heaters worked and the blinds in the bedroom do not close so I woke soon as the sun came out. The check in before 5pm was not listed when the booking was made and poor service as I called around 4pm over 5 times and left a voicemail, I should have heard back as your office hours were open. This is completely unacceptable !! It has cost my company and myself money missing these meetings and potential partnerships. I will never stay here again nor will anyone from my company and we go to Birmingham for business every 2 months. I want a refund as I only stayed one night at this awful run property., I still haven't heard from anyone apologising or checking I got in ok. Disgusting. I am a young woman, standing alone off a busy road in the evening in /Birmingham. I didnt feel safe.

Very convenient location in relation to where I was working. Free offroad parking (but see below for the negative of this)

The apartment faces on to a very busy road, and the traffic noise is loud and constant. Parking space was regularly occupied by someone else forcing me to park in a different space - which I was then blocked in by the actual owner of said space. WIFI is very poor, speed tested at 2mps download speed for 5G was shockingly slow. The apartment (number 32) is true to the pictures, but the pictures were clearly taken several years ago - before the decor became scruffed up like it is.

The location was great with buses nearby.

The stairwell carpet was stained, there was part eaten chocolate at the top of the stairs and general rubbish on the floor. This wasn’t cleaned at all whilst we were there. The lift panel was loose and the lift didn’t go to the top floor which was where the flat was located. The toilet seat wasn’t fitted properly and was offset. The grout on the shower and bathroom floors was black and the vanity unit had the top part of it jutting out at an angle as if it hadn’t been fitted properly. The towel rail was also weeping at the top. It would also have been nice to have four sets of crockery and cutlery. Unfortunately in the bedroom the mattress was old and sagging and the pillows were cheap flat foam ones. There were also marks on the wall of the bedroom as if furniture had been moved and scraped across the walls. The property was described as Modern, which it was in terms of decor (and the lounge diner), but we were very disappointed overall and checked out a day early. I don’t feel that it was value for money as it was a very expensive rental for 4 nights.

Was dirty and didn’t feel clean, the shower and the sink in the bathroom didn’t drain properly. Towels were dirty and bin hadn’t been emptied. Poor communication from host when asking a question about parking - never responded.
