Beautiful and quiet - perfect escape from the city.

We loved the large comfortable house, it is very well stocked with everything we needed. All the gas appliances worked well, we even made lasagne in the gas oven! It is great that the house is off-grid with no loadshedding. The large fireplace is awesome. The staff are very friendly, Jan chopped the wood for us and they did a great job servicing the house every day. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The view of the dam at sunrise is awesome, it is the loveliest sunrises I have ever seen! Thanks so much for a lovely, relaxing weekend.

One of the light bulbs in the kitchen needs to be replaced.

The location, cleanliness and facilities was perfect

The property was never perfect, but the floor on the top floor was extremely noisy. it’s fine to hear footsteps on a wooden floor, up the floor boards was squeaking load.

Great location, away from the world, the perfect place to just disconnect. Scenic views and very quite. Short drive away from Dullstroom town center. Loved the eco friendliness and environmental impact efforts being made.

Access road isn't really suitable for a regular car, especially when it's been raining and the road is muddy, an SUV/4x4/bakkie type vehicle would be better suited. Fridge wasn't working properly. The upstairs bedroom wooden floor is very loud mostly for the bedroom below it.

Well equipped, clean and comfortable getaway cottage in a most stunning location. Staff were friendly and helpful and serviced the cottage daily. We stayed for 6 nights very comfortably with enough space (inside and outside) for 5 adults (3 adult daughters). Felt like an away home from home, and the added benefit of being off the grid and not subject to load shedding was an unexpected and valued benefit. Firewood available on request from the caretaker at a small cost. The minor negatives below didn't detract from what was a great holiday in beautiful surroundings.

The double beds could be Queen-Size and a better quality mattress. We like to walk and would have liked to access walking trails on neighboring farms without having to drive anywhere. The white noise from the traffic on the main road detracted from the experience of being off the grid in a beautiful setting.

The fridge wasn’t working properly. and the sink in the kitchen had a crack leaking water below. besides that it was a lovely stay.

The roads to the house were muddy due to the rain. You needed a SUV or bakkie toe drive on them. The reeds covered the entrance to the dam, so you could access the dam from the property, which would have been nice.
