The Clockhouse

We stayed at The Clockhouse on the eve of my mum's funeral. I wanted to stay somewhere that would provide a comforting space and having read previous reviews The Clockhouse sounded perfect. Without doubt it truely did provide me with exactly what I needed and both my husband and I enjoyed it's quirky charm, home from home comforts and attention to detail. Extra touches such as sourdough bread, croissants, eggs (from the pretty chickens in the garden!), fresh orange juice, milk and water, toiletries... Sam literally thought of everything to ensure our stay was amazing. Comfortable beds and clean towels are always a welcome relief when you're staying away from home. The upstairs living space is huge, every piece of furniture and ornament is unique and elegant yet homely and calming too. My husband enjoyed lounging on one sofa whilst I curled up on the other, reading one of the many interesting books Sam has thoughtfully left for others to enjoy. We were only staying for one night but this provides an excellent base for anyone looking to stay longer and explore the area (I could have stayed forever and moved in permanently!). I have already recommended this gorgeous little gem to friends and family and have every intention of returning in the new future. Thank you so much Sam, you have put your heart the soul into The Clockhouse and it reflects the love back.

There was nothing to dislike, everything was perfect.

A wonderful place, beautifully decorated and very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast.

Planes flying over every few minutes. Bring earplugs.

A super cottage in a great location with easy access to Windsor, Eton and Heathrow. Highly recommend.

Charming and very large back-house with nice garden area. Convenient private parking. Very friendly and welcoming host and great with do-it-yourself breakfast. Also, Co-op supermarket and restaurants just around the corner. Can recommend Punto pizzas 😉 We took the bus into Windsor, which is much more convenient than going by car. Easy walk down to the river and onto Magna Carta area with great views.

I had forgotten the proximity to Heathrow, so noise from the take-offs.

The breakfast was lovely there were fresh croissants sourdough bread eggs and lovely fresh orange juice and jam and butter in fridge 👍👍

Just a small dislike that maybe a sign outside to say it was the Clockhouse cause we couldn’t find it for a while cause it didn’t look like the picture on the site until u go through the gates then u see the coach house which is beautiful

Very nice hosts - shopping really close. Furnished with a lot of taste…thanks for having us.
