Pine cottage with private hot tub

Lovely location and everything we needed for our little mini break away. The hot tub was much needed after our long walks that are right on the doorstep.

The road was a little bumpy to the cottage.

Lovely apartment. Very clean and beautifully done out. Good walks from door. Hot tub great . Private parking space. Although you could hear the people upstairs they settled down by 10 pm so we had a good night's sleep. Scenery outside is stunning.

The lane to get to the apartment isn't suitable if you have a low to the floor car. I have a Citroen c1 and I could avoid most of the potholes by putting a pair of wheels on the central bit and very edge by stone wall .I believe nearest pub is currently closed for refurbishment so bring food with you unless you're ok going up the drive again . The top kitchen cupboards were too high to reach the cups/ mugs. We're both just under 5ft. Struggled to understand how to use the microwave. I highly recommend this place if you're not bothered about a bumpy drive to it.

The road into the property is a death trap, the wifi is terrible, the rules and notices telling you what you are not allowed to do make it feel like a prison, if someone is stopping in the apartment above you then forget about getting a good nights sleep, the kick out time for the hot tub is strictly adhered to, the host even came out and turned it off while i was stood there haha. She also seemed very ignorant and bossy.

Excellent layout and plenty of space with everything you'd ever need when staying away from home, the living area was particuarly good with a comfortable sofa, large flat-screen smart TV (we used Netflix and BBC iPlayer) and coffee table. Where you'd like to cook, pots and pans alongside an oven and microwave are available. This was a great option for our trip to the Peak District, we booked last minute and the host was kind enough to accommodate a later check-in than quoted.

Track leading to the venue is unpaved with lots of imperfections, extra careful driving required. Mattresses were particularly firm, leading to a difficult nights sleep. Walking, talking and laughing could be heard from the upstairs venue, leading to an earlier rise than expected. Whilst the bathroom was a great size, the water temprature was inconsistent. No recyling option, your recycling will have to go home with you.
