The Loft @ The Old George Inn

Hosts were lovely allowing us an early check in. Shower was a little temperamental. Lovely clean and homely property.

Lovely apartment, really spacious and leaving breakfast things in kitchen was a really lovely unexpected touch.

Cotswold character. Spacious. Really liked The Loft. Breakfast is provided too! I hope that no one would book without realising it is over the pub! I found going to sleep to muffled Christmas songs and a happy buzz of voices quite nice. We had jet lag so no struggle to get to sleep. Next time we’ll try the pub out.

It was a very nice apartment in a good location for us. It was also a nice surprise to find cereal, tea and coffee etc. left for us.

The shower did not work (although there was a bath). One radiator was full on all the time and we were unable to turn it down due to the controls being broken. A couple of doors had broken locks, and we felt there should have been an extra door at the top of the steps for added security.

The apartment, good lay out, all the facilities needed for a weekend stay.

I would not come back here at a weekend, on the Saturday night the pub below had the loudest rock band playing; it shook the room. We could speak to each other at all. We had the TV on full volume and still couldn't hear it. It went on until at least 1130pm with the kick out lasting until 1am, noise, shouting/partying. We got to sleep at 2am. I would strongly recommend thinking about staying here or at least calling the pub below before hand to ask if there is an event on. Be cautious.

The decor was nice.

This property has a fatal flaw - the hit water doesn’t work, which means that you are unable to have a shower. It’s also not particularly clean. The hot water situation has been mentioned in other reviews so obviously the owners know about it but have done nothing to fix it.

Location and size

No hot water for 3 days so no shower. Offers to shower elsewhere were too inconvenient and accommodation elsewhere also not exceptable. A promise to partly reimburse has resulted in nothing despite a polite request from me.
