The Loft @ The Old George Inn

Kitchen not good. The oven/grill was dirty. The toaster crumb tray was full and obviously hadn’t been emptied for a long time. The freezer box in the fridge was caked with thick ice. We actually defrosted it for the next guests. The mats on the floor were ruched up and a trip hazard. Parking challenging.

The property was full of character and thought had been put into all the little things that would enhance your stay like kitchen supplies and tourist information.

Being above a pub there was some noise but it did finish at a reasonable hour and didn’t really detract from our experience

The loft is a gorgeous period conversion, with plenty of space and key essentials. We were delighted to find bread, milk, juice, butter and cereals to get us started, as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The decor was fresh and tasteful, even though it is next to two (lovely) pubs, there were no noise issues. Cirencester was an easy 10 minute car journey and the local coop was walking distance from the loft, and opened late.

Some closer attention to detail would be my main recommendation, for example, general dust / cobwebs on light fittings and side boards. The bed side lamp to the right of the upstairs bed did not work and a few of the chandelier bulbs were either blown or missing, but I really couldn't fault much else. We had a great stay.

Last minute booking for us, definitely came up trumps with The Loft! Lush decor, fab set up and location

The only downfall for us was no coffee maker/cafeteria

The host was very Good n nice place too

Absolutely beautiful property, clean, cosy and homely. Highly recommend
