The Loft @ The Old George Inn

Lovely village and the property was excellent for our needs.it was comfortable with plenty of space for 4 adults and had lots of quirky features

We were a little disappointed not to have been warned that our visit coincided with a village festival. When we booked we obviously appreciated that we were staying above a Cotswold pub so expected some noise was inevitable however felt that disco noise into the early hours was a bit much, also having to move our cars and therefore having to carry luggage a fair distance to leave was not ideal ( one member of the party is not too mobile) However we enjoyed the stay overall- but would not have booked if we had realised the situation especially at full rate.

A bit noisy when the pub is full

big comfortable loft in a pretty little town. very friendly hosts and the breakfast items are a nice touch.

loft is above a pub and you do hear a lot of noice from it, so this can be an issue if you have young kids or want to go to bed early. it’s a nice pub though

The property is located directly above a pub and it’s noisy. Our son managed to sleep but it could be problematic for guests with children (less so for adults who stay up later!)

This is such a lovely property. Nicely designed. The hosts left bread, milk, butter and essentials for when we arrived, which was a welcome touch. The beds are comfy, and plenty of space for our family of 4. There is a converted hire engine at the pub downstairs that serves pizza, which the children loved, and the pub is very nice too. It's 5 minutes from some of the lakes, so not too far to travel at all.

Although the pub was very nice, it is incredibly noisy. You almost feel like you are in the room with the people in the pub when you are in the lounge/downstairs bedroom. There's zero soundproofing. Luckily the children were very tired and managed to get to sleep. The good news is, it does all go very quite once the pub closes - if you're one of the people in the pub, then no problem! The property is a little cluttered with 'stuff'. It's very well decorated and looks lovely, but there's just a lot of things, and in a few places, seemed dusty, and the placemats had food still stuck to them.
