Brighton Lanes by Airhost

Location was the good. Mostly well equipped. Beds clean. Bathroom clean.

Given wrong entry code so stressful half hour resolving the issue at the end of a long day’s travel. No information re heating. Kitchen light bulbs not working and neither issue satisfactorily resolved despite asking early in the trip. Maintenance and kitchen cleaning issues. (Photos attached) Just how difficult entry to the building and the stairs was not clear at the time of booking- (3 coded doors, steep exterior steps, narrow alleyway)

Absolutely stunning & right in the heart of Brighton!! This flat was perfect for our weekend getaway, it comes equipped with everything you could want from kitchenware to a hair dryer & towels. The flat is nice and bright, the beds are comfy & the shower is lovely too :) Location wise it’s right next to the main road and a short 5-10min walk from the middle of the lanes. Couldn’t be happier with the quality & location of this flat!!

Only 2 things - 1. There wasn’t a lock on the inside of the front door so anyone who knew the code to open the front door would’ve been able to at any time. The code system for the doors worked well and is a great system to use but thought having a bolt lock on the inside of the door would’ve been perfect for Saftey reasons. As four girls we found it a little worrying as to who else could know the code/how often it’s changed. 2. We were quite shocked to find that £250 is taken out of your bank account the day before your stay. Unlike when you pay for the flat you get a message saying that an amount is coming out of your account but it was taken without any warning or explanation. It turns out it is a deposit for potential damages which is fair enough but it only states this in the small print of the booking which took me about 10mins to go in and find after I messaged on here. It was all dealt with very well, I got the money back & I’m happy overall with the service received but I do think that this should be a warning when booking as for a lot of people that £250 would be their budget for the weekend.

Clean spacious apartment well appointed for town. Did the job for our purpose.

Sadly noisy revellers all throughout the night woke us several times. And Christmas lights on adjoining building to rear of property flashing all night through windows even with blinds closed was not welcome.

Perfectly clean inside, modern facilities, bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge was a lovely touch! Thank you

Sofa bed mattress needs replacing, other than that, all fine!
