Willow cottage with private hot tub

We have stayed in majority Off the places here a lot from October 2024, from the cabins lodges to the cottages. All times have been very nice. Clean Lovely hot tub And always left alone and never bothered by anybody

The signal for phone service isn’t the best. If I was been very picky that would possibly be the only thing And check out should be 10:30 as 10 is a little steep especially if you’ve had couple of drinks night before

Very cosy little cottage inside and peaceful.

People should be made aware of the road leading up to the property as it’s extremely uneven and bumpy even going at the slowest speed. The 2 towels provided are not fit for purpose very small and look old. The sink was dirty. Your asked to strip the bed before leaving which your told after booking. Which I didn’t see untill the next day. Not sure why check is strictly 6.30pm as you collect the key from a key safe. I understand they dont want other guests being disturbed but we had a meal booked. So does this mean you’re not allowed to leave the cottage? The light in the hotub is annoying as it’s on a timer and is constantly flicking on & off. I think the hotub had way to much chlorine in as the smell was very strong which aggravated my asthma. The property states it’s sound proof but you have guests underneath you and could hear doors shutting etc. overall it was nice but I don’t think I would book again.

Quite place

The accommodation is near Hens Cloud and the Roaches for Hiking and within easy driving distance of Buxton and Leek. Perfect location to explore from. Basics that you need for a weekend of exploration for two people. Hot tub was amazing even in the not so nice wintery weather.

The road to the property is a little rough. The gate into the parking area had a small pole in the middle that made access very difficult in the 4x4. The parking was limited and a car parked on our designated spot. There was no lighting outside the stairs to the cottage and we had to use our phone flashlights. The light in the conservatory was not working, had to use our flashlights to get the key. The temperature in the cottage was around 9 degrees when we arrived. We followed the instructions to get the boiler working, unfortunately we had to contact the management. The boiler is under the kitchen counter and needs to be switch on. With check in time at 16:00 winter time this did not feel welcoming at all and can be improved upon. Like other people were saying: limited towels and one glass drinking glass. Rules around hot tub is 10:00-22:00. This is very limited. So many "no access signs" about that it does not feel like a very welcoming property. Maybe just a little over sight but we found a dirty towel behind the bathroom door. Access to Hencloud is not marked.
