"Authentic Nubian retreat set in beautiful nature"

7.0

This is a very authentic Nubian place to stay run by a very friendly and helpful Nubian owner. It is on the other side of the river from Aswan town centre and the staff were only too happy to take us by boat to a tour that started at 4am and at all other times. The boat ride through the Nile around small islands is very beautiful. The owner also gave us a packed breakfast in the morning and complimentary water. if you love sitting in peaceful nature where you can climb the sand dune behind the farm to see the sunset and drink fresh guava and lemon juice, then this place is great. the rooms were beautiful with painted rooms in the Nubian style and had a large rocks in the rooms as the rooms were cut into the mountains.

From the photos I was expecting to see goats and other animals. mainly the farm grows guava and lemons which is great. The main animals were a group of guard dogs (which are needed to keep desert wolves away) and even though they are friendly you have to feel comfortable with dogs.however two of the dogs need urgent medical attention. One was incredibly thin and another had a large gash on his face. I understand I come from a different country but as tourists and with my 14year old daughter - this was quite distressing to see. Even these dogs were very playful and friendly though.

"to recommend"

10.0

This accommodation is perfect for relaxing and spending quality time on the banks of the river. The attention from the staff was very good, all very helpful and hospitable. We would have liked to stay longer in the accommodation. It has its own restaurant. It has breakfast service and it is very complete. Mahmoud was a great host and helped us with everything we needed.

It is not close to the city center and the only way to access it is by boat.

"A little piece of Paradise"

10.0

Mahmoud and Ayman were both so helpful. The apartment was very spacious and decorated in traditional Nubian style. It is located on the West bank of the Nile so there is a private boat to take you over the river which can be requested at any time. The food was traditional eygtian and delicious especially the cheese at breakfast. If you want a quiet place with beautiful views of the Nile and the desert this is the place to stay.

"beutiful place but bring your own nececities (towels , sheets, snacks and drinks)"

7.0

location of the Nubian farm is beautiful - it’s on the nice and green part of Nile and behind are the most beautiful desert dunes! we walked to sights like St.Simeon monastery and Tombs across the desert and we’d recommend you do the same. farm offers free boat rides (which are beautiful) to and from the farm, but organise them with the owner upfront. might not be responsive immediately.

the only option for foods and drinks is the property’s restaurant and they only accept us dollars (which we didn’t know) plus it is not that affordable (dinner for two cc 30usd). rooms don’t have towels, soup , sheets (only thick blankets) - bring your own

"Definitely the worst experience ever in Egypt. Still no apology or any refund from the hotel. Photos show the message I"

1.0

Guests can only get there by ferry and it's inaccessible to road traffic from the airport. I didn’t know this so I thought I could take a taxi there from the airport without the hotel’s help. The hotel had messaged me for my arrival time but I didn’t see the hotel’s message until I landed at the airport at 23:45, when I knew I had to be picked up by the hotel ferry. So I called them, but they didn’t answer, although they claim they have a 24 hour front desk. I had no choice but to find and stay at another hotel at 2 am. The next day I called them and they answered very coldly that I didn’t reply to their messages. The thing is, their messages were hidden after piles of other information so it’s easy to overlook the real messages. Even if their messages were sent in an obvious way, they still have no reason to accuse guests of not replying! Guests should be able to reach a 24 hour hotel reception whenever they want, not the other way around!Especially when the hotel knew that there was a guest still not arriving and not contacted, they should make sure that the phone was reachable! Running a business is not like having a relationship with a boyfriend. The last thing a hotel should complain is that the guests don’t reply!

"Charming stay at Nubian Farm"

10.0

If you are not expecting 5 star hotel with all it´s hustle around, but your are more into nature, this magical place will simply capture your hearth. You can walk up the dunes behind the farm and get such a great view of Aswan or you can swim in Nile or just enjoying yourself at this charming place. Also, the food they cook here is super tasty, unless you don´t like fresh fish from the Nile or home beef from their farm… There are so many superlatives that could be written, but long reviews nobody likes to read. Just come here and experience it yourselves. Thank you guys for all your hospitality and hope to see you again soon

"AMAZING AREA"

10.0

BEST LOCATION TO STAY IN ASWAN , THE ONLY AREA WHERE YOU CAN BE IN NUBIAN SIDE AND JUST MINUTES WALK TO BARBAR BEACH IN SCENIC ROAD WHICH IS BEST BEACH IN ASWAN AND THEN OTHER MINUTES WALK TO WEST SUHAIL NUBIAN VILLAGE WHICH IS THE MOST FAMOUS NUBIAN VILLAGE IN THE CITY , AND IN THE SAME TIME YOU ARE NOT ISOLATED FROM THE CITY CENTER BECAUSE THERE IS A FREE BOAT RIDE FOR GUESTS TO AND FROM THE CITY AND IT TAKES ABOUT 15 MINUTES IN A SCENIC ROUTE , GOOD BREAKFAST , HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY STAFF , BUT YOU MUST KNOW THAT THIS TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION IS LIKE CAMPING TRIP WHICH YOU ARE NOT EXPECTING LUXURY HOTEL SERVICE , AND YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY NATURE SO IT IS NORMAL TO SEE FLIES AND INSECTS A LOT , SO IF YOU LIKE SOMETHING LIKE CAMPING EXPERIENCE YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR STAY HERE, AND I AM ALREADY WRITING THIS REVIEW WHILE I'M EXTENDING MY STAYING PERIOD HERE
