Nubian Farm Aswan

The scenery was so beautiful and everyone was extremely helpful and caring, the food was delicious.

The boat trip to access the hotel is nice, the location is very quiet and the dunes and desert right behind the hotel are great with beautiful sunsets.

The hotel building and facilities are totally run-out... There is a huge lack of maintenance. The place might have been nice and could have a good potential but is in total decrepitude. Forget about the "farm aspect"... There is no farming activity, nothing grows on site except some dates and the animals are limited to a donkey, a horse, a turtle, a cat, several dogs and 4 crocodiles. There is also a lack of communication about the activities.

Away from the city, peaceful and quiet right on the Nile and edge of the desert. Good place to have an authentic local experience in the Nubian side of Aswan. The owner also provides tours; I highly recommend the bird watching. They helped us to book our bus tickets, allowed us a late checkout because our bus was at night, and even gave us a different room to relax in after checking out of ours. Really appreciated that they let us stay. Rooms were comfortable and had A/C

The food was just ok, and a little pricey. I would have liked to see more local dishes on the menu. It’s mostly pizzas. The place is also isolated from the city by about a 15 min boat ride so if you are looking to do a lot of sightseeing in your time, I’d recommend booking a full day tour with the owner or communicating about transportation needs in advance. Otherwise you might feel a little stuck here since you’re reliant on their transportation to get anywhere and they aren’t always available to take you unless you’ve communicated in advance. But the flip side is it is a nice place to just stay and relax for a day

It would be nice a little more attention to the animals in the farm, we didn't see the goats.

Great location. You need a boat every time to go to the city (15min)- boat is provided but NOT RELIABLE!!

1 - the owner left us without boat on the other side of the Nile at Night! We are two girls travelling solo and we got really scared: we contacted him around h 9.15 to ask for the boat to go back to the property. Tried to call and message on WA but he never reply. We arrange a boat with some stranger at 11.00 PM (we were very scared to jump on a random boat at night). Only when we arrived there the host woke up and reply our message. He said that he didn’t saw the message /call (but denying the day after when we confronted him again). Terrible experience!! We also had to cancel our Abu Simbel trip because too tired from the night and not trusting him to get us on the other side on time! 2 - The host speak broken English was really difficult to properly discuss / arrange. He proposed us a taxi to Phile temple for 15 € each and clearly try to scam!! We paid 3€ together by arranging ourself. In the end we didn’t book any tour with him so I cannot comment on that 3 - too overpriced!!! Bathroom was disgusting with previous guest soap and hairs. Bed sheets were looking ok but full of sigarette holes. Breakfast was normal and cups/spoon very dirty. We traveled all holiday staying in hostel but this is a NO GO!
