"Poor"

3.0

We stayed at Nubian Farm for three nights and payed 50$ per night. Although the stay was nice in sum it did not deliver what it promised. The right amount of necessary care and love would contribute to a greater value-for-money. 1. The communication with the hotel was rather bad. After booking and sending an email asking for location direction no one answered within three days. Also after getting to the farm we were unsure to whom we had to refer if we had questions. 2. The room was neither clean nor where there any towels. The blanket and the tablecloth had spots. 3. The outdoor area looked desolat. There were piles of garbage everywhere. 4. The breakfast was really nice and they provided different variations of eggs and cheese every morning. Unfortunately, the tray and the dishes were really dirty as well. 5. The best part of the stay was cruising with the boat on the Nile with Sherif, the ferry man. He was driving us whenever needed to Assuan and picked us up at any time. Unfortunately, the other person around seemed off and was weird to talk to. 6. To conclude we would go there again but the price is disproportionate for what you get in return.

There were lizards and bellies in the rooms, it was very bad. I did not stay at the hotel anyway, I gave up staying when I saw the lizard and they did not refund my money.

"Lovely area, poor service"

3.0

Beautiful building and the natural beauty of the area. We swam in the Nile which was lovely.

We were the only guests at the farm.We requested dinner at 7pm, after asking multiple times it arrived at 8:50pm. Likewise we requested breakfast for 8am because we had to leave for our tour at 8:30am, it arrived 8:25am and we were unable to eat. We were then asked for 30usd for dinner, which was a huge amount for what was received.

"Beautiful location, great staff, excellent value"

10.0

The staff is very friendly, available and helpful. The boat rides to and from Aswan (about 15 minutes) are beautiful. We enjoyed the quiet location in the West bank, between the Nile and the desert. Huge clean room with A/C, comfy bed. Delicious big breakfast. Nubian village accessible by foot. Very nice walks on the dunes just behind the property. Nice outside space.

Everything is great but if I had to pick something I’d say the barking dogs some nights.

"Strongly recommended because of the beautiful location directly at the nile."

Daily boat transfers between Nubian Farm and city on the nile were uncomplicated and the most enjoyable experience of the trip. The host and the staff are very friendly and relaxed. We felt very welcome at the farm.

"Enjoyed our family vist to Nubian Farm Aswan"

9.0

If you are looking for a relxing get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and want to learn and spend time with the Nubians, the early inhabitants of central Nile, then this is the place for you and your family. After we finished a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, our family of four (two parents, two teenagers) we purposely chose this location for an overnight stay before heading back to Cairo to learn more and also spend time with the Nubians, various farm animals, dogs, cats, and four crocodiles!. We also enjoyed meeting other travellers who stopped by this location for refreshments while overlooking the Nile river. The facilities were unique, colorful Nubian dome structures with ceiling fans and air conditioning. Our family room was spacious and comfortable. This location is only accessible by ferry, but staff helped ensure our big suitcases and us made it safe and easy across the Nile. The owner/manager and staff were very hospitable, and helped arrange and coordinate ferry transportation to and from our pick-up point at our Nile cruise ship to departure at the Aswan airport.

"Authentic Nubian experience with Nile rides"

8.0

Located right on the Nile and includes a 10 minute private boat shuttle to the other side of the Nile every time you need to get on and off the property. We loved getting free trips on the Nile where water is so clean and has a lot of vegetation and beautiful scenery. The owner/manager is very nice and is able to arrange any trip/tour/ride you can find in Aswan. We loved all the trips he organized for us. They always make sure you are happy.

We had a bit of an issue finding the place as it is located on the other side of the Nile. Please contact the owner to get clear directions before arriving there. They will pick you up by the boat on the Nile near city center. Luckily the owner was able to resolve any issue and requests we had very promptly.

"My trip to Egypt."

10.0

My family and I cannot stop talking about our stay here. We had a splended time and will do it again. Aswan was wonderful, the people was very friendly and accomadating. Mahmoud has been one of the most assome person we met. He was understanding and go above and beyond to make your stay an great experiance. Our tour guide to the temples was great, very knowladeble. This is a trip we are looking to do again. Love Aswan.. It was a great experiance. Food was great.

Becasue this was my first visit, we was not confortable with the constant harassment by people trying to sell you stuff. I dont thing you can get use that. That was my greatist dislike. Especially in Cairo.

"A Maldives Similar No News, No Shoes, Super Relaxing, Ultimate Nubian Experience..."

10.0

The ultimate Nubian Experience... 1. The view was simply stunning, the dunes of the Sahara Desert on one side, all the greenery, trees, fruit and farm animals, including crocodiles, in the middle and the Nile with picturesque islands on the other side. 2. Breakfast was out of this world, every day they wheeled out different delicacies and we ate dinner every evening too, no menu, no need they knew what to cook us. 3. We wondered why there was no fresh goats milk one morning then saw the reason. Two baby goats born the evening before and one, really cute, born that morning. We watched them happily stagger on their newly born legs around their mothers while we sipped delicious cold guava juice made from fruit grown on the farm. 4. One day we saw oranges piled up at the landing bays of a few islands including the dock at Nubian Farm, we learned from our hosts that if you want oranges the boat comes and tips out how many buckets you want. They also helped us understand much more about crocodiles like they have no tongue and do not eat in the winter. 5. Of all the highlights of our stay we have to mention making Nubian Coffee sitting on traditional coloured cushions right by the edge of the Nile. Green coffee beans roasted on charcoal (made at the farm) then added to pure Nile water, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginseng, naturally filtered with date palm hemp, awesome, an amazing experience. 6. We have to mention the service and hospitality of our hosts. Right from picking us up from Aswan City Dock in their boat (only way to reach Nubian Farm Aswan is by boat, what an exciting way to arrive), staff waiting to carry our bags, the excellent trips they organised, personal tour of islands showing us hidden gems only an Aswan family of many generations and one that personally owns several islands could provide. 7. From sandboarding down the dunes, mud baths, massage so much to do. 8. Suggest you go and stay at least a week Love to write more.

We could have stayed a few days longer :-)
