Upon arrival, this property was not even close to what is depicted in the ad. It was dirty. There were cigarette burns in the couch. The bathroom was a tiny hallway with an RV size shower. The bed was a double not a queen, and there were bugs in the windowsill. This was the worst property I’ve ever encountered with Expedia makes me question doing business with you anymore. We did not stay there. we moved to a different hotel. We were not offered any compensation for this very very disappointed. You need to check your properties better before renting them on your site.

We loved the location and the room was clean. Air conditioning didn’t work well.

This hotel was awesome! We had a little apartment with a New Orleans vibe. Walking distance to all the French Quarter and pier attractions!!

I do not know why this place has such a high rating, totally different from what I experienced. I should have been alarmed by the high rating and almost no picture for the room. When I asked the morning after arrival if it was possible to change to a different room, I was told it was fully booked. That day I stayed in the room until after 4 pm and did not hear anything outside. I doubted it was that sound proof given the age and the condition of the building. Few days later on Friday, there was a lot of loud door slamming. I could also hear neighbors talking through the wall. Why did the staff tell me there was no room when there were apparently plenty of empty ones? There was quite some dust in the furniture. I had to wipe them before I could use. The bottom drawer of the small wardrobe was the only drawer. Its inside was full of dust and dust bits. When I wiped the night stand, a cigarette about 1/3 of the full length came out. The furniture is very old and limited. You pretty much have to leave everything in your suitcase. I also tried to use the safe but it was locked. When I asked to have it open in the morning, I was told the person who could open it would not be available until the next day. I gave up. I was in the building with no elevator. If your body size is not small, be aware that the shower is very small about 2' x 2.5'. The toilet is nested between 2 walls that are a bit over 2' apart. The area is convenient and safe.

We wanted to like this property more than we did, but there were some great things about Chateau Orleans. 1) The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating! They were quick with advice (on things like parking and safety) and even allowed someone from our party to check in early unexpectedly. 2) The location really is perfect. You are steps away from Bourbon street (but far enough away that you can sleep soundly at night), 10 minutes walking from Jackson Square, and about 15-20 minutes from almost anything you want to do in NOLA. 3) The courtyard is super cute.

Despite those positives, we probably won't stay here again. Our biggest issue was around cleanliness. While we don't mind that certain aspects of the unit were outdated (small beds, old quilts), we did mind that things weren't very clean. The vents were mildewy, with clumps of dust and dirty water stains dripping from them. The freezer was rusted inside. The walls had scuff marks and stains in places. And worst of all, there were cockroaches in the pipes! We know the weather and age of NOLA means keeping all bugs out of rooms is an impossible task. But over our 3 day stay, we had 4-5 HUGE cockroaches in the sinks, shower, and bathroom.

A very cool, small cozy room with a nice balcony by the pool. Just about a block away from Canal Street. About a 15 minute walk to Café Du Monde. A nice easy walk down to the shops on Canal Street and the aquarium. Great restaurants within a block nice shops for a pastries and coffee. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful courtyard, and the staff was so friendly. Location was really great and easy pickup spot for Uber/Taxi

The pull out couch was a nice feature for extra sleeping options but a foam mattress topper would go a long way for making it more comfortable (we could feel the springs)

A couple things I did not like No front desk help after 10 p My bathroom door would not close The bed would wobble and was loose and kept hitting wall every little movement Excellent location And Safe location

I did not receive and email with a code to get in. So when I arrived, I called the number found on Google maps for the location. The man was rude and irritated with us for his mistake of not sending us the entrance code. It was a hassle to get into the facility. Once in, everything was clean and fine. Not quite as described or pictured. But acceptable. The man did respond to me earlier about another issue though. But with so many options, I would not stay here again.
