host was demanding an outrageous amount (£350, but then messaged for £250) to be paid via bank transfer. I booked same day I was checking in as it was an overnight stay with around 9-10 hours from check in to check out. Deposit information is not clear on property info and if employer / company booking on auto for employees this is impossible to spot as well as impossible to actually execute the transfer. Other areas have used a payment portal that holds the deposit rather than an outright bank transfer. This is absolutely risky as you get no protection from your bank doing it this way. Will avoid JC apartments in future and will not recommend to any of my colleagues or travel for work platforms I use to socialise.
