The Ickworth Hotel & Spa

Very relaxing, enjoyable stay. I suppose the swimming pool could stay open a little later, but plenty of time in the morning for a good swim, and leisurely pack up and check out. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Very good coffee at breakfast, and coffee machine in room. In all, excellent.

Great hotel in fabulous grounds, which are worth exploring. Room was clean and comfortable with a generous ensuite. Food was great and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel and it's surroundings are gorgeous. The room we were in was beautiful with lots of gorgeous furniture and the bed was comfortable as well as being beautiful. The staff couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. I have food allergies and everyone was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and everyone seemed to be really happy at their work. We had a lovely swim and a good rest. Exactly what we needed.

The only thing that could do with improvement, but it was still good, was the swimming pool. It could just do with a bit of updating.

The building, location

Poor restaurant and overrun with high chairs !

Location was good and a larger than expected room

Didn't expect to pay extra for breakfast. Couldn't get into the spa area as code didn't work which is a shame as was main reason for the booking

The look of the building is magnificent - staying in such a historic building nailed it on me booking this hotel. Fantastic location for my day and inside the layout is great - also the decor is mainly a lot of modern art and the sight possesses a chandelier which is only one of two in the world - the other, I was told, was on display in the Tate Modern.

The shower and bath were quite awkward to manoeuvre around - stand in the shower and the spouts get in the way - try and have a bath and the taps were in the way. Lift was an experience and was in need of some TLC.

Very good, good price, nice to have the hot drinks included. Lovely dining space and good service.
