Casa de Vista Alta

The hotel is very beautiful. The location is spectacular, especially for bird watching. The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Our rooms were very nice.

We did have 2 leaks in our roof, which was due to the long hard rains we experienced. The leaks were inspected but were not repaired at the time, which I can understand. I hope they will have been fixed for the next guests.

we were left alone in a empty house without neighbours and we couldnt lock the doors with key and there werent any staff to take Care of us. we were very afraid of sleeping in a House with open Doors without Security and we told the staff but They told us that that was just the Way it was here. i didnt sleep all night because I was so afraid someone could just walk in. it was terrible

Beautiful wood and brick building, comfortable bed and extremely clean. Gorgeous views and the hummingbirds are delightful! I could have watched them for hours. Ten minute taxi ride from Mindo town, but so much more pleasant to stay here. If you are vegetarian, I recommend the vegetarian ceviche, which was sort of a gazpacho with beans.

Firstly, it's hard to stress how lovely the staff are. Really kind, thoughtful and helpful. Their food was good. The view superb and it is so nice having the hummingbirds by the dining area. Excellent tips on activities. Very highly recommended.

The hotel is very new. Just 2,5 years old and in an excellent condition. A lot of wood. The lodge is quite outside of Mindo and therefore nice quiet and you can see a lot of birds. The service is very kind and helping wherever they can.

Our bedroom was amazing with beautiful views. The owner Fernando was so helpful and we felt really looked after. The food was great too.

Having to go home!

Katy and Ferando are very friendly, welcoming and willing to help. Also the breakfast is really good We took also dinner in the hotel: especially the chicken we liked very much, we would really recommend having dinner at this place.

Nothing, it was perfect for us. We had our own car, i can imagine not having your own car it might be a bit more difficult to get here, although many taxis go from Mindo town.
