Fantastic view and the staff are excellent. The breakfast and the food were delicious.

Friendly service. Bird watching tour was excellent. Lots of birds can be seen from the room itself and from the dining room. We travelled with four and enjoyed an excellent dinner.

We made a last minute reservation, and enjoyed our time on the veranda with a glass of wine and hummingbirds as entertainment while staff readied our room. Hot running water and power in the middle of the peaceful jungle—what luxury! Great views, very comfortable bed, and attentive staff. Esther, Belen, Nicolas, Fernando, and all.

I liked being able to feel inside nature.

I went in the rainy season so it was limiting in doing things.

Location was excellent. Staff wonderful. Warm, welcoming. Went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Breakfast was great. I am vegan and they accommodated my diet, which was great. Sitting on the balcony watching toucans and all types of birds was just fantastic!!

nestled in the magic rainforest above Mindo, Casa de Vista Alta is the perfect place for enjoying nature, being stunned by the local birdlife and experiencing the first-rate hospitality of owner, Fernando and his team. our cabin was very comfortable and beautifully built into the environment. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t do enough to help. The highlight was definitely our early morning walk with Fernando and his very powerful birder’s telescope. A lifetime of spotting birds enabled our guide to introduce us to many different beautiful species. We also appreciated his wealth of knowledge about the local environment.

Esther was an amazing host! Helped out with a spider. beautiful surroundings in the forest and really nice food. it’s out of town, so you need a taxi, but we loved the location. Saw 6 toucans and so many hummungbirds
