The breakfast was high protein, healthy and delicious—an authentic setting in the midst of nature. Our hostess was superb: hospitable, knowledgeable, and attentive. I found that the staff were delightful and I felt completely at home. The latter point is not common.

I am an older person so require brighter lighting. There was not enough water pressure for a thorough shower.

We liked that it was in the middle of the forest so we could be surrounded by nature and got to see lots of hummingbirds and other beautiful birds.

There’s nothing we didn’t like.

Simply put: Is this your first time in Mindo? Are you a bird watching lover? Do you like to feel at home when you travel? Do you appreciate a wonderful breakfast surrounded by humming birds? (I mean .. the scones are to die for!!!) Do you like the best tips and tricks about Mindo? Then come to Casa de Vista Alta and enjoy a wonderful time ❤️

Well, it is a forest.. so mosquito repellent is in order (you must know this..).

"The views and the room were outstanding, highly recommend to stay and go birding with Esther!"

The location and view is excellent. Esther, the birding guide, is very knowledgeable and speaks great English. Staff was attentive and breakfast was excellent.

The shower could’ve use a quick clean before arrival. Would be nice if the windows in the bathroom stayed shut to keep mosquitoes from coming in.

Loved watching all the birds at breakfast. Hummingbird feeder as well as a pole with branches and fruit for parrots, toucans, etc.

This little hotel is family run and they do an absolutely great job. We were welcomed by a staff member & shown to our rooms which were very beautiful & clean We then ate supper there which was very tasty. A beautiful view as well. We had a birding adventure in the am but coffee was available & they waited until we arrived back to serve us a decadent breakfast

Very comfortable room with a beautiful view in the most perfect location to enjoy to cloud forest. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Casa de Vista Alta was definitely a highlight of my trip to Ecuador
