Cinnamon House

The place is really nice and cozy and the kitchen is really comfortable to use

The only thing I didn’t like that the stools and chairs don’t have a back cover and after sitting like that for a long time our back hurt.

Lovely laid back hostel very comfortable with birds everywhere.

There are several dogs and cats running around the hostel. The cats jump onto the counters and tables in the kitchen and all of the pets are allowed to sit on the furniture. As someone allergic to cats and dogs it was unpleasant, not to mention unsanitary.

The cinnamon house is a cool space, beautifully built and really well put together. It’s far enough away from Mindo centre to be relaxing but close enough that you can walk to the shops, attractions etc. My room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was clean and there was a large common area where it was easy to meet people.

Sometimes the staff were hard to find and weren’t a strong presence at the hostel, it made asking for information etc difficult sometimes. There also didn’t seem to be anyone available at night or any staff in the building/a number to call if there was an issue, which made me a bit nervous as a female traveller on my own. But this is just a tiny bit of feedback, it didn’t ruin my stay, I loved the hostel!

Beautiful little hostel, great place to relax in peace but still be near to the centre of Mindo. Rooms small but cute and clean, communal areas really nice including small kitchen.

We got bitten a lot whilst sleeping, just be wary!
