Woodland House Hotel

Food and staff were good. Room was comfy and clean.

The bathroom was dripping wet after two people had had a shower. Fan was not taking the moister out of the room. Had to remove all toiletries and wash bags as they were saturated. Water on the floor made it scary to walk on. Had to use all towels to mop walls and floor. Initial sight of the hotel was lovely however when you get closer there is an unfinished structure at the side which either needs taking down or finishing. Obviously been there for quite a while.

Nice property set in lovely grounds. An older house where they have kept lots of features with a few modern touches.

Thought the shower could be improved , when you turned on the tap in sink it splashed over you but bathroom big and beautifully done.

Everything was as expected - excellent

A peaceful location and very useful for our trip to the Dumfries area.

Very comfortable bedrooms. Rural location on edge of town. Excellent meals. Very good dinner available at reasonable cost.

The front of the house is lovely and the inside is very comfortable and pleasant.

the hotel has an abandoned building site where the garden should be. It's hideous.

Lovely spacious room. Had lovely dinner of trout on first night with option of smaller portion meringue with fruit and cream for dessert. Good breakfast.

Dinner no local cheese available. Limited food choice. Bathroom bath plug inoperative.

Lovely owner and staff. Great breakfast and dinner. Nice sized room. Nice building
