Barriemore Oban

Excellent communication and plenty of on site car parking the property provided a quiet location, easily accessible for walking into Oban for shops, restaurants and cafes. The room and house were spotlessly clean with every need catered for. Oban has plenty of good cafes for breakfast if the continental option doesn't suit your personal needs.

It was perfect for our requirements.

I can highly recommend this lovely guest house, our room was spacious and comfortable with plentiful tea/coffee etc, high quality bathroom products and exceptionally clean. We didn’t have a sea view but there is a very nice terrace at the front of the building with comfy seating where you can really enjoy the beautiful views and watch the boats go by. There is parking on the premises and a very easy walk to town along the esplanade, just lovely. Mark was full of excellent recommendations for local restaurants and such. We would definitely return.

This property is a definite 10 out of 10! Our room was spacious, and comfortable with THE MOST AMAZING view of the coast from our seaview window

A lovely guest house in a beautiful location with stunning views. There is nothing Mark and Jan haven’t thought of to make it special. Plenty of tea, coffee etc in the room, super-comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We didn’t have a sea view room but there is a terrace at the front of the building with comfy seating where you can sit and watch the boats come and go and even a pair of binoculars for guests to borrow. Mark was full of great recommendations for restaurants etc. it’s about a 20 min walk to town but it’s flat, along the esplanade with beautiful views all the way. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend.

A very well kept place, with stunning views from the bedroom. The location is good, a short walk from the main shops & restaurants. Space for parking outside the hotel, and access to a lounge area at the back of the hotel.

Only reason for marking down from a 10 - The divan bed base was squeaky/creaky, and the mattress on one side of the bed sagged in the middle, which made the bed uncomfortable.

No breakfast but this wasn't a problem for us as there was plenty of choice within easy reach. We loved the sea facing terrace with comfortable chairs, the beautiful sun lounge available for guests, and the residents' lounge with microwave, tables and chairs.

It suited us very well, being at the quieter end of the esplanade within easy reach of woodland walks, but might have presented difficulties for less mobile guests.

Everything i liked The hotel was clean and tidy. Room was superb. The view from the front of the hotel was awesome. Found a wood behind the hotel which was.superb for max.our westie.

Loved our time here. Very clean comfortable rooms. We booked the apartment. Spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were fluffy and divine (the best while in Scotland). I loved the little details as well; chocolates in the kitchen, a heat mat for hair tools, a place to put toiletries in the bathroom, magazines and wifi, heat was turned on when we arrived. The apartment also had a washing machine.

We stayed here only one night of a 12 day trip and regret not knowing about this sooner so we could have stayed longer. This was my favorite place of the entire time in Scotland/Ireland. I am a pillow snob and this place had fluffy comfortable pillows. The location was great. There was on site parking. The place is very clean. Communication, excellent. Could look out over the water. There is a lovely sitting area on the main floor.

The only thing that could be improved was shower water pressure. Honestly dont let that deter you though, just something to be aware of if you prefer long lengthy showers. The water was hot, the bathroom immaculately clean.
