Denehurst Guest House - Adults Only

Our room was big enough, clean, nicely decorated. Breakfast was very nice, plenty of choices. The owners are lovely people, very helpfull. We only stayed one night but would definity go back. Highly recommended.

Very welcoming host. Location a short walk from Windermere train station. Comfortable bedroom-very quiet at night- heard an owl. Excellent breakfasts- a very good choice of menu. Very reasonable rates.

Nothing to dislike.

The whole experience was wonderful, we had never gone away before so first time and my husband and I had a fantastic stay. It was so spotlessly clean, felt so homely, breakfast was top class as were the owners. There was street parking, in the centre of Windermere and Bouness so your spoilt for choice. No negatives at all.

The time going so fast!!

Lovely warm welcome. Ken & Cindy both go above and beyond to ensure you have a nice relaxing stay. We found the on street parking was totally adequate. Its a short walk into town with numerous excellent restaurants, shops and bars. We were in room 2 which is very tastefully decorated, and nearly overslept for breakfast on both days because we were so relaxed and enjoying slumbering in the big comfy bed. There were ample tea/coffee options in the room (also hot chocolate which was a lovely treat at night) The breakfast was excellent, with delicious sausages from the local butcher, all cooked to perfection, with every permutation of extras/additions your heart could desire. I loved the fresh fruit salad and my husband liked the separate citrus salad with yoghurt. We rarely 'return' to accomodation, but I felt rather coddled here, and the little bit of nurturing set me up well for returning home to battle a tricky week. We will absolutely be back and have already recommended to friends

I'd like to see the additional option of granary toast, instead of just white and brown, and maybe a homemade local jam with the breakfast. It would make the final step for me toward utter perfection. And thats not a fault, its just a suggestion. There was absolutely nothing to find fault with here

Cindy and Ken were the most gracious , kind and hospitable hosts . The room was cleaned daily and was perfect for a couple. The daily home made breakfast was absolutely delicious. Location is convenient enough to get around by foot or car. Highly recommend.
