"One of the best places to stay"

Felt welcome the moment we walked through the door. Everything was perfect, the room was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was so tasty and cooked perfectly. Linda gave us lots of advice and even advised us on a very handy foot path away from the roads leading into Whitby. This trip was a surprise for my wife, she loves it here so much that she has already told me that we need to book in again soon. We will most definitely be staying again đŸ€©

Very comfortable stay in a quiet location yet handy to central Whitby. Spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent shower, and generous delicious breakfast. Linda is a welcoming and helpful host. Would be very to stay here again.

"A restful stay with excellent access to Whitby."

Our stay at The Coal Merchant's House was extremely restful and comfortable. Linda, the host, was welcoming and helpful, and provided an excellent breakfast. The accommodation was impeccable, both clean and comfortable, with a wide range of hot drinks available in the room, along with fruit and bottled water available from the dining room downstairs. We will be sure to book in here again when next in the area and will be recommending The Coal Merchant's House to all our family and friends.
