Staff was super helpful and friendly. The tours and transfer they proposed was spot on what we needed.

Cleanliness was a miss on all areas (common areas, bathrooms, bed sheets with stains, towels with stains, dust). Strong smell of moth balls in my first rooom 12 or so toxic balls near where I sleep couldn’t breath. Was changed to another room which also had moth balls but less). No hot water. No ac no fan no mosquito protection only way to get air in was through window that didn’t lock. For the record I get that moth balls are used for managing insect issues declared by previous guests but they are banned in a lot of countries, can’t be used safely around humans and are a known neurotoxin and carcinogenic that’s irritant to humans. Avoid contact or breathing.

Hospitality and friendliness of the owner. Good tours on the volcano and city. They help you where they can. The transport to lake Toba was also very good arranged.

ERWIN ... the owner . We felt we were treated as a family member. He came and picked us up from the other city. On the way we got a free tour and had stops on different places . He is such a considerable person . Next day me and my friends agreed to go on a full day tour with him and it was the best experience in sumatra . And then he kindly arranged our trip and sent his car and driver with us the next destination. Prices were cheaper . Felt like a family trip. His place "Sapo Caro" is like a big mansion with lots of rooms , everything was nice , clean and tidy . Quite place , clean , nice breakfast , nice location . Thanx Erwin, you are really an ambassador to Sumatra.

Quiet street, clean beds and towels, nice and friendly staff. Broken lightbulb was repaired promptly by staff.

One of our toilets was broken.
