Kharjap Homestay

The property is great for people who are seeking an offbeat location away from the regular homestays. The journey towards the homestay is an adventure in itself through the Thembap Heritage Village. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a offbeat location with spectacular views and warm hospitality. The little Hut with a traditional fireplace was the best part.

The journey towards the homestay off the main road is quite long almost around 30-35 mins considering you are someone who is well aquainted with hilly roads. It may be quite daunting coz of the height and the roads, but the views are breathtaking.

The property itself is fantastic and the fireplace room is an added bonus. We were treated with some home made wide and complimentary snacks which was very nice. The ladies managing property are very helpful. The food was simple but very nice.

The location of the property is a bit remote and the road not very good. It takes about 25mins from the main road to reach here. Once there you will love the property.

Property in itself is very beautiful. Staff is also nice.

Hotel is very far from Highway. Road is really bad. If you are travelling with a sedan, then you might even not reach the property. In night, it is very difficult to reach the property as well. Also there are certain hidden charges which they wont tell you before, for example they include driver's food in your bill, which is usually not there in other hotel/homestay. Wifi is also not available at the property. Note: Breakfast is not free, and take around 180 per head separately (which was not told to us beforehand).

The place itself is very nice but the bathroom was too small. But, the room with fireplace was just amazing, we loved it. We were also offered homemade rice wine a fried peanuts, we enjoyed it a lot! Would recommend the place for a small group of friends and family.

The location is remote, about 12 kms (30mins) from the main road and the road is not very good. So, be prepared for it.

Excellent location. Though a bit far from dirang town. This property stole my heart. It's located in the beautiful village of thembang. The homestay is a beauty. The rooms and bathroom are spacious, well maintained. There is a separate dining area where you can have your meals. They cater local as well as food according to your choice. Not to forget the food was delicious. On a clear day one can see a peak of Gorichen from the property. It's totally value for money. Excellent is an understatement for this place.Hosts are lovely. Would love to visit again

The location was good. The behavior of owner was good..

The washroom was smelling. Food was not upto the mark. Only bread was for breakfast. Dinner had no variety. Geyser was not working so hot water was a problem.room was not cleaned

This location is a hidden gem of Arunachal. Whoever loves to get submerged into history and nature, this is a must visit place. Thembang, the village is an UNESCO Fortified Heritage Village, and the history of this village goes back to 9th century. If this village is the crown, then the Kharjap homestay is the Kohinoor on it. It was such a breathtaking experience for us.

The Road from Munna to Thembang village is very bad. 17 kms road took us almost 1 hour 15 mins.
